Hammers,
I'm unable to get the link to work. Which isn't a bad thing,as I've been avoiding doing anything interwar in that part of the world,(I'd get totally and utterly side-tracked with the subject) Those are exactly the kind of daft project I'd happily do.

Nice resource. I seem to remember seeing the Crossley 4 wheeled armoured Car on Shapeways today. There is also a Light Tank Mk III Indian Pattern on there as well.
Cheers,

Impressive. What scale is it?

1/56th scale (28mm)

I reckon the 1/72 Vickers Crossley armored car could be upscaled to 28mm.

Unfortunately the wrong scale. I have the oop 1/56 Crossley IGA.

Now that you've posted the picture, I expect to see at least one of your trucks parading as an elephant - that is one bit of history I'd never heard of and would love to know more about it.  On the link?  (Haven't time just now.)

Though why people do WWII in such a large scale always mystifies me (as a game, not a modeling project).  Only the biggest tables get more than a pistol shot range.  But cows for plows or whatever that expression is.

Oh, we're back to banging that drum again, are we? I preferred it when your obsession was wild animals. (Just kidding!)  ;)

I entirely agree if it comes to bigger battles, and my chosen scale for that was always... 20mm! (what can I say, I started with plastic toy soldiers, as they were readily available in local shops in the time before the internet was really a thing).

But when it comes to skirmish gaming I see nowt wrong with using 28mm figs, in fact I think they are by far the bestest for that. And as for the pistol shot comment, well ground scale is a flexible attribute that needn't be set by the size of the figures, and individually-based 28mm figs don't have a hugely more massive footprint than 15mm ones (though granted, the vehicles do). Maybe that helps demystify the strange world of other gamers for you. I doubt it, mind. :)
