Title: (AP 2017) Into the Mortal Realms with Dr. The Viking as tour guide

I have soooo much crap lying around here that I had a really hard time settling on what to paint for the LPL this year. Normally I would try to finish one of the projects I have already started... the Mexicans, the Incas, the Halflings, the Orcks, the Mars Attacks and so on.

But in the end I found it was easier to just buy a small new project and call that my project. So I bought the starter set Thunder nad Blood for Age of Sigmar and will paint that for this army painter challenge to the best of my knowledge.

The box containes all kinds of things. I will only paint the miniatures though.

In total there is:

5 blood warrios
20 bloodreavesr
1 khorhograth
1 flayer

10 liberators
3 proesecateurs
3 retrubrutores

My plan is to be powerful! in the painting. So all the blood guys will be blood at 11... not 10 - but 11!

Expect gore, splatter, guts and even handsigns!

The golden horde on the other hand, needs a bit of love. Right now they are all faceless expressionless cybermen. That won't do.

So I have ordered new heads for the lot and 3 electrical guitars for the flying things to wield.

It is the mighty Khorgorath (khornegiraffe?) and a Lord-Relictor - Lord Skelerelictor actually.

Both are converted from the original miniatures... the Skelerelictor had a head swap, and the khornegiraffe got a pair of eyes. and a face.

The painting is pretty crude with lots of edge highlights on the relictor and some strange blotched stuff on the khorgorath. I never really do edge highlights like this and it very nearly killed me... I cannot for the love of god understand how people can paint entire armies like that! Hat's off!

Haha there's truth in that.

In the scheme of things it wouldn't fit though. Skelerelictor and the khorgorath have different employers with opposing interests.

Haha not a chance. This model was given as it has a skull helmet.

I'm only painting the starter set. Nothing extra. Almost.

I do have an idea for prince Adam though
