Title: Dracula's America: The Kin on YouTube w Ash! pg5
Post by: LeadAsbestos on August 12, 2017, 03:43:32 AM
Well, time to begin! While waiting for my official minis and book to arrive, I thought I'd get started on my back-up posse, a Tong Gang headed by a Hopping Vampire. I'll play as Red Hand Coven until the first supplement is released w/ proper Tong rules.

The first mini, the Hopping Vampire from the Atomico Kung Fu Miniatures KS:

Just some basing to do and the rest of the Tong should be ready next week.

Now that our Frostgrave campaign has finally come to an end, I can get serious on prep work for our Dracula's America games. Minis and rules have sat sadly neglected all this time, but now the paint table has been cleared!

1864 Poker deck and bone dice in a brain-tanned bag to give a little in-game color!

Next up: pics of my painted Congregation. :)

We played our first test game yesterday, and had a pretty damn good time! Quite a bit of fumbling around to figure out the gameplay, but once we got going, it flowed very nicely!

Did anybody do a set of tokens yet? I was amazed by the number of markers we had on the table. When 3 guys in a melee are shaken, done, and jammed, it is a mess!

Our first campaign game, board still a WIP but coming along nicely! Congregation v Red Hand Coven, at first I thought my Voodoo boys were going to get crushed, but they squeaked out last man standing and a draw. Pretty damn fun, still made a few mistakes, but massively enjoyed the whole thing!

Finishing up the minis for the Unwelcome Guests list, just the finishing touches on the Pale Rider to go, then one of each Hired Gun, then to finish up the Skinwalkers Apache tribe for my next posse.
All alongside the work for our own narrative campaign, 4 linked scenarios and a pile of terrain and minis!

One more game for campaign one, and then on to a whole new one, hopefully with a couple new players as well as all new posses. I'm thinking of playing the Kin? Didn't strike my fancy when the rules were released, bu then I realized it was the lackluster minis that did it and not the rules. I've got a great idea! :)

Desert Tribe Skinwalkers, Apache theme. My Shaman is going to be the villain in the campaign I'm working on, so I thought it would be nice to give her a little development before I roll it out...

Don't know where to start! These really tell a story, your painting style is really effective and it all fits together so nicely, I'm taking lots of notes keep it up please!

That bear miniature that looks like it's ripping out of a blue shirt? where's it from? a friend of mine plays a druid and that would fit perfectly.

How do the Otherworld and Knuckleduster minis size up with the North Star Dracula's America offerings? The scale is close enough?
