Well that's 2018 sorted out then, suggestions for rules please.

At present the plan is to produce 16 individual pony riding Comanche warriors each with a dismounted version, followed by some early Texas Rangers. ;)

As for rules I'm going to run a taster game at BLAM with my Conquest Comanche using Legends of the Old West. Not ideal rules, but they'll do for starters. Gary was doing a mod of M&T for plains wars. Will have a chat with him at BLAM to see how it's coming along.

Just one other thing Nick, if you had to put a time period on this range what would it cover? Could you use the figures up to and including the 1860's for instance.

The figures will be aimed at the early conflicts with Mexico and Texas. So the figures will be armed with traditional weapons (bows, lances, clubs etc) and some flintlock muskets, rifles and early Colt revolvers.
Thry'll do from 1800 up until 1870s. Only the Colt revolver armed figures will make them 1840 onwards.

That is fantastic news, Nick.  I'm not sure I can wait until 2018 so it is great that you are planning a game at BLAM.  I'll drop you a pm about the rules.

I am so looking forward to these. Not happy about having to wait till 2018 though.
I will have to look at more of those pictures & start working on the scenery,
now where did I leave that box of cork bark?

The only problem with Boot Hill miniatures is that they are released too slowly.

Great! Then we can send them against the Spanish in the late 18th century  ;) maybe also some Soldados de Cuera in the pipeline?

Yes to the former, the latter unlikely. You could use the Presidiales as proxies.

Why not make an alternate weapon arm for several figures to spread the period feel without figure duplication?

...maybe also some Soldados de Cuera in the pipeline?

Although they're not listed, mounted and dismounted Cueros, large 25mm figs, very compatible with Conquest, originally released by London War Room, are currently available from Dayton Painting Consortium. If you email them, I'm sure they'll be happy to put an order together. Although DPC have no UK distributor, their prices are so modest that even trans-Atlantic postage should be bearable:

Uh, why, yes, I am friends with the DPC guys...

Ide is what you do when you don't want to be found - like the kid's game Ide and seek...
