Hi All!
I thought I'd begin a thread to compile a list of vendors that supply all the cool stuff we could use to populate our Cities and Towns during the outbreak! There are times when I see gaming boards or diorama's that have some really great attention to detail in the form of the bits and pieces used to decorate it, such as bins, rubbish piles, fencing, furniture; so I'm making it a mission to find all the weird and wonderful places out there that could be of use to us! I'm sure there are more than I've sourced thus far, so please chip in and comment on any treasures you've uncovered :-) One area I have not found much on for example would be food, food packaging etc in 28mm scale. I game mostly Modern Zombie Apocalypse, but please feel free to suggest other Post Apoc stuff for any 'Mad Max' type scenarios or waste land/Nuclear settings.

Also Ogauge.co.uk for boxes and crates of food under general accessories. Also wheelie bins, skips and bottle banks.
Thomarillion does a load of stuff - sinks, washing machines etc
Resinaplanet.com for pool tables, arcade machines
Rustyrail.com for work benches, piles of junk

Any chance you could add the website links in?
Will do Johnno :)

The was QUICK!
Thanks so much...
Easier for us tablet guys... ;)
-
Just updated the opening posts list with:
Table Top Art (great for Milk/Juice Cartons, Drink Cans, Beer and Wine Bottles)
CP Models make some excellent body bags
True 2 Scale is amazing if you're looking into the interiors of buildings, I mean who doesn't need 28mm scale Knives and Forks to adorn their blood splattered kitchen......!

It was this stuff I hadn't seen before....
(http://i1286.photobucket.com/albums/a605/andymac2105/Mobile%20Uploads/4CCA5832-0093-4425-856F-04A1DFDB841F_zpsnqrpyhwo.jpg~original) (http://s1286.photobucket.com/user/andymac2105/media/Mobile%20Uploads/4CCA5832-0093-4425-856F-04A1DFDB841F_zpsnqrpyhwo.jpg.html)
.....seems big and good value for money. £105 for everything in that pic! 8)
-
This thread needs to be a sticky. Hopefully a mod could do that?
-
Agree on the Sticky - this is proving to be just brilliant for an obsessive bits hoarder like me. Just spent £70 on filing cabinets, tables, sewing machines and air compressors from Microform. Look what you made me do King Arthur!

I'v already mentally spent thousands I think!!!!! I'm building a City with furnished interiors...... I can also thank you good Sir for be about to purchase Pool Tables, Arcade Machines from Resina Planet and having to look around for bar stools and tables to adorn a Pub for my City now ;)
Please could you post a pic or write a small review for the MicroForm products as I too will certainly be ordering quite a bit from them in the near future, so your input would be well appreciated!

Guilty as charged - and on the review, definitely. Hoping my pile of bits will arrive shortly.

Add Sarissa to the list : http://www.sarissa-precision.com/
Also, Armorcast has a fair amount of scatter terrain. http://armorcast.com/
And thank you, Mathias, for making this a sticky. Much appreciated.

What about Micro Arts Studio?......

Thanks for the Sticky, much appreciated!
Opening post updated with 4 new links, thanks for the suggestions chaps and keep 'em coming, you can never have too many places to buy shiny things :D

OK, we're now getting into deep shiny obsession. Was looking for some bicycles to leave lying around. Most O scale ones are silly money but I found this lot:
http://www.sportgoodies.fr/shop/en/31-accessories (http://www.sportgoodies.fr/shop/en/31-accessories)
I've bought some of the 1/43 ones. Will post some pics once assembled.

Exactly what I was thinking.
A bloody brilliant idea.

That King Arthur is a legend......
:D ;)

Oh, boo, Mason. Really?
And I had almost forgotten Acheson Creations: https://www.achesoncreations.com/
-
Oh, boo, Mason. Really?
Yep.
I know, it was terrible.....
;)
Anyway, not sure if anyone has added any of the 1:48 scale dolls house suppliers, as their stuff is very usable and the brown plastic furniture is double cheap. I have used it some of my 'ruined' builds.
A bit blurry, but you can pick out the Grandfather-clock and a few bits of furniture falling through the floor, as well as some bits in the rubble.
Very useful stuff here, but there are others:
http://www.petite-properties.com/
-
Thanks for the two new stores chaps and Mason, yes, lots of Dolls House vendors in the list! It was actually you that sent me down that merry path after I was reading your threads on those ruined houses and you recommend A Trifle Small as a good source of 1:48 bits and pieces :)
-
Opening post updated with 2 more links:
Innovative Hobby Supply has some nice looking Chain Link Fences and Pats Laser Cuttings is based in Holland and by all accounts produces some very nice pieces, especially for all you TWD players out there!
Also, what is really missing from the list are vendors in Europe that stock Chain Link Fences, Barbed Wire and also weapons, Bats, Blades, Guns etc so if anyone knows of where to source those, please let me know!
Thanks
Best Regards

I would like to add Thomarillion as well known and good sorted supplier of all kinds of Terrain for a lot of settings, incl. modern and post Apoc.

Great thread. Sorry nothing to add just marking this one for future ideas :)

Thanks kumpel, already had that one, some great bits and pieces on offer from Thomarillion!
Added to the opening post, Fogou Models and Warlord Games - Bolt Action Terrain - if anyone owns any of these Bolt Action pieces are they true 28mm or more Heroic? The reason I ask is that for example TT Combats City Scatter states suitable for 28mm but when placed up against my Studio Miniatures models, the TT stuff is on the large side!
Cheers

Did not see Knights of Dice on the list and they have some cracking stuff for populating cities etc:

Northstar Models has some nice etched tools.

lol
Well, I just ordered some products from them ;)
-
A couple of quick pics - I bought some stuff from 'a trifle small' - saw horse, saw, pots and pans. A chance to see them in the post apocalyptic flesh so to speak. The stove is Grandt Line bought on Ebay.

Very pleased with this - nice stuff and pretty cheap (if you consider spending a few quid on tiny pieces of plastic and metal something other than full blown madness that is).
Also a pic of the bike from Sportgoodies.

Epic!
The Saw and accompanying Horse look great! The Bike is good too! Thanks for sharing your madness ;D

Thanks mason, didn't know as they still have a functioning website. Do you know if their stuff is true 28mm or more heroic? If they are closing soon, I'd be interested in some of the bits.
Cheers

Depends what you are after.
I think the scenery line passes well enough for 28.
I only have their medical set to base that on, although I have seen a few of the other pieces and they are good scale-wise.
Their Dystopian Legions figures are a fair bit bigger than 29's, more like 35's I reckon.
Not sure the exact state of play regarding ordering from them...check this thread out for more info:

King Arthur, I've got quite a few of the Spartan Scenics cabinets in my Gunshop model, now re-uploaded below after the Photobucket fiasco. I'd agree with Mason - scale is fine for 28mm and it is wonderful stuff, but getting harder to find. As soon as they went bust I bought another 3 sets on e-bay just in case and I'm glad I did.

Yep, already in the list, bear in mind though if you use true 28mm models then the TT stuff is too big, it's more Heroic Scale.
-
thanks for this collection!
A pleasure kumpel :)

Said I'd post a few pics of the Microform models stuff when it arrived. Really great models, and some items I've not seen elsewhere, like the essential vice and sewing machine! Well worth a visit. And Gary, this is definitely 28mm.
Could have done without the £30 VAT/customs bill though...

What a great topic. I only just found it. But I can already tell it has created new needs for me.

I probably shouldn't mention how much I spent on scenery right after discovering this thread. :(

Sometimes I'm lucky and stuff slips through but most of the time Zoll (Customs) likes to take their slice of the pie too :?
Thanks for the pictures, the product looks great! I love the propane/oxygen tanks! Good to hear that it's 28mm too, thanks for the info ;)

Now my turn to show you all some product from the list we've compiled!
The unit is a Kitchen Vitrine from Thomarillion and the tools are from the O4 Carpentry Tools Set from Severn Models.
Studio Miniatures Zombies for scale.
I had to start painting start away as the pieces are great and are going to be part of a now abandoned Military Med Lab that was set up during the initial outbreak, all sorts of nasty went on in there judging by the state of the tools......

Is this site listed? Tiny Furniture. They had an Indiegogo campaign for a load of terrain (not) based on Fallout 4 which is trickling into their webstore at the moment. Tangentially they have some Elder Scrolls stuff as well.
http://tiny-furniture.com/
And the project for pictures of the terrain as most of its still not for sale by the looks of it.

This is all amazing! Your "sets" will be epic when you paint the store. Thank you for posting the generator. I don't have a GW hauler but I did buy a tractor on ebay that ended up being too small for it's intended purpose. You gave it a new purpose :D .

Added to the list.

Update on The Miniature Building Society stuff.
It works for 28mm, but I'd hazard against it with Heroic scale stuff (The Walking Dead, etc). Real furniture isn't enormous, and it doesn't scale as large as TT Combat's furniture. The shelving units are more for a convenience store or Petrol station than a super market and come up to shoulder height.
-
If you're looking for toilets, sinks, baths and hand dryers I bought a load of them from this user on the Dakka Dakka forum years ago. They're based on the ones from Fallout 3. Just make an account there and PM them.

Looks really interesting! My only concern is that it claims to be 28mm but then they place Rick from All out War and he looks like the perfect fit and that game is more 35mm Scale !

I see what you mean, Rick is taller than my standard 28mm, but not so much as say Malifaux (other TWD figures are nearer 28mm:

Rick, Crooked Dice's William Killian and a Project Z zombie.

I have updated the opening post with another great find, Black Cat Bases! Some really good pieces to be found in their store!

Looks like the company Schulcz has loads of useful household furniture.

* Tsk, damn, already on the list! :)

OK, actual stuff this time.
I've mentioned them before, but SASM have came out with some more products that may be worth looking into.

Whilst aimed at being stowage for vehicles, those laptops, coolers, canisters, containers, etc would do for plenty of modern scenery pieces.

Opening page's list has been updated with Dave's Decals.

I've just built my first couple of MDF buildings and one question - what do you guys do with your doors?
Do you leave them? Remove them entirely? Put them on clever hinges?
e.g. the doors on the TTCombat Mini Mart:

I have left them in the ones I have built. I would like to have them on some hinges. But I am not clever enough to make something that looks decent.
-
I tend to inset them a bit or put a little plasticard trim around them, just to get away from that flatness that Lasercut stuff can have sometimes.

New find.
Came across these randomly while scouring model railway stuff for the wasteland. How cool is this?
Preiser 1/43 but scaling looks great for 28-32mm. Coats, suitcases, bags, shoes. Perfect for the abandoned remnants of pre-apocalypse life.

The Assault Group have a small but fairly decent range of office and household items. Besides the loose guns and other bits of military equipment they do.

I haven't yet bitten the bullet on a 3D printer mainly because I know that, if I do, my supply of stuff to paint will even more rapidly dwarf my painting progress. So I've been looking enviously at lots of lovely bits of 3D designs with no means of making it, until I discovered a gaggle of new stores on ebay and etsy doing it for me. So I've been starting to dip in and there is some lovely stuff available. I was put off by the very grainy FDM printing but resin printing is a whole different ball game.
Example below and here are a few sellers I've found who do some nice stuff.

There are so many 3D items available that it would be very hard to keep up to date. Thanks for adding to this :)
And you are 100% correct, a printer adds so much to the painting queue...
