I've always been interested in model making but never spent the time. Now that I'm older I've started to develop an interest in miniature wargaming.
I really like retro sci fi and I purchased some Hydra 28mm figured but I find them too small for my old eyes to paint, I think I'll try some 40mm figures.

Welcome to the forum.
Concerning failing eyesight, I strongly recommend you try out a cheap magnifier headset with a led, such as this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Idealeben-Magnifier-Headset-Illuminated-Magnifying/dp/B01N498K1C/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1507096673&sr=8-7&keywords=magnifiers
It gets a little while getting used to it, but once you do, it is like feeling 18 again, at least as far as short distance vision is concerned.

Hello and welcome to the forum 8)

I's like to see if I can show pictures from my Instagram, that would be ideal.

It seems to work, but getting the URL of the picture was not easy.

I didn't know I could upload pictures to the gallery and link them here. That's great!

That makes things even easier!

Hey Erik, thanks.
I’m in Escondido, San Diego county.

Ah, I know that town. I used to go to UCSD.
Are all the houses made of Legos? ;)
-
Your painting is good. Well done
-
Thanks Mick.
ErikB, that would be Carlsbad, I’m in Escondido, the houses are made out of wild animals. :D
