Now that my Masters dissertation is handed in I can finally get back to my long suffering VBCW/Sealion force! This will be my official painting/ideas thread.
Currently bought up ldv, all the BUF packs and various others.
Have also bought the new(ish) chindits was wondering if you could all advise? I know the m1 carbine troops are amiss but was wondering if they could be serviceable with a new paint job as some volunteer militia?
I would add in the official militia models by warlord...but they are way too big!
Some painted minis incoming when my camera is sufficiently charged!

Nice one! Will be following this topic very closely as presently working on the same subject.

Realised I already had a thread but may as well stick to this one!
First up some agent/saboteur types.
Second, a pair of old vets.
Third, the fabulous Sidney Bristol! Churchill impersonator and noted wit!
and finally a pair of WIP's, names not decided yet, will be local bank manager and his boss.

Back again! Academia keeps me away but someday I will have the VBCW battles of my dreams, in the mean time, painting these two gangs of gangsters to act as npc's/a neutral faction.
First, the yanks, an Irish gang called 'The Black Irish' over their bosses enlightened and forward-thinking recruitment policies.
Second, we have their English connection (haven't decided on a name yet) sometime rival and currently the distributor of whatever things the Yanks manage to smuggle over from America.
All on left are brigade games mob wars apart from footsore Irish wolf hound, on the right a mix of mob wars and footsore civilians, the leader s a brigade games western mini and the bulldog is warlord games for anyone curious.
As a quick aside the footsore stuff was for the most part very clean with little prep-work, the brigade stuff on the other hand is of lesser casting quality with lots of work needed to get things up to snuff.
