Title: Behold! The Dreadful Cult of the Squirming Horror!
Post by: Hobby Services on November 04, 2017, 10:29:03 PM
Latest project, a mix of Reaper and Trollforged figs.

The cultists and altar are Reaper Bones from two different SKUs.

Big fan of these figs, since they're so generally useful.

The shambling worm-host zombie-things are Trollforged figs, still unreleased at retail five years after the Kickstarter.

Wonderfully awful sculpts but getting ahold of them wasn't easy even as a backer.

Note that the Dreadful Cult of Squirming Horror should not be confused with the Horrid Cult of Squirming Dread or those pathetic losers in the Squirming Cult of Horrifying Dread.  Screw those lousy heretics!  :)

Very nice. I've had those guys on my painting desk for near on a year I reckon. You've done them very nicely.

Which, the Alien Host guys?  This is actually the start of my second batch of them, I did almost all of a Swarm-level deal earlier this year and now I'm grinding on a Queen-level set.  There are a lot of great sculpts in that KS range, but he's been so slow about getting them to market.  When I think about how much money he's lost in retail sales due to the delays it's amazing he's stuck to finishing the KS before putting them on his store.  Kudos to him for that, even if I'm not terribly pleased by the amount of nagging I had to do to get the second pledge I picked up off his market.
