A new project...
I was looking for plans of French warships during the Sino-French War. I found several but all were far too big to build. But finally I found a plan of a british flat iron gunship, the ANT-Class. Flat iron gunships were used by the French Tonkin Flotilla (Revolver-Class) as well as by the chinese imperial navy (greek alphabet-class).

The hull was made of plywood and styrofoam and the deck planked with coffee-sticks

The biggest problem will be to build this gun. All suggestions are welcome.

Very ambitious project! Looks excellent so far.

Have a look at 'Grubby Tanks' who have the old Britannia range, which includes Naval 'stuff' such as: guns; anchors, crew
and ships figureheads. He is a very nice person to deal with too.

maybe HLBSCo guns might do the trick. (http://www.hlbs.co.uk/images/catalogue/HSC08.png)

or TA miniatures might have something too.

Thank you very much for the input, the TA and HLBS guns are very nice.

Also worth looking at Reviresco to see if they have something suitable for you
-
Wonderful looking project you have there.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions. We tried to create the gun with FIMO, because the gun is a really big one...

But the gun carriage is really complicated...

I should think when the gun fires the boat just stops dead in the water and kicks up a huge wash at the back end!!

The "crounching tiger" our first finished ship right out of the BSC2018. This junk is designed as a transport junk used by all sides.

It was a nice project and we had a lot of fun.
