Title: Ghost's pulp miniatures
Post by: Ghost on January 23, 2018, 07:56:16 PM
Hello,

One of my numerous projects is playing some pulp games in the Earth's core, with adventurers, cavemen, nazis, atlanteans and even more !

I painted some neanderthals and amazons a few months ago, here are there warbands :

Recently these 2 adventurers come under my brushes :

Some new miniatures in a few days...

Yep - these are quite lovely. The jackets and pants on the adventurers are particularly impressive.

Although it really needs a Caroline Munro miniature to complete the fantasy.  ;)

Hum, my german is not very good, it's not easy for me to find some cool names... :'(

A new villain, Herr Dr. Eisenberg, a brilliant scientist who changed his slain body for a stronger one :

Equipped with some mighty powergloves and an antigravity pack, he can jump over his enemies and smash them.

I finally decided to finish my Nazis I had started. In addition to the occultist and the gorilla, we have a commander, a scientist and some grunts:

All these lovely minis are from Lucid eye.

I must now find the courage to paint octopus aliens and red martians ...

Title: Re: Ghost's pulp miniatures
Post by: Ghost on January 26, 2019, 06:46:19 PM
Dakota Smith (aka the "lost explorer") comes from the Savage Core range from Lucid Eye.

Captain Wolf and Petite Lune (aka "Bosun") are from the Pulp Alley range from Statuesque Miniatures.

The atlantean queen (aka "Rhéa de Brisis") is an old miniature from Rackham for the game "Confrontation age of Ragnarok". This miniature is no longer available...

Stunning work! Fab Painting!

I have to ask though, what brand is the male adventurer in the top post on the first page from? He seems suitable for a Lobster Johnson conversion!  :o

Thanks in advance!
Title: Re: Ghost's pulp miniatures
Post by: Ghost on January 27, 2019, 07:56:00 PM
FreakyFenton, the male adventurer is "Phantom Ace" from the Pulp Alley Range of Statuesque Miniatures : I also thought that he would be an excellent Lobster Johnson. (if anyone knows where to find a good Hellboy mini, please tell me, I'm so sad that the game from Mantic isn't at the good scale...)

His terrific highness, Apophis :

Basically Hellboy.

Or get the Indy Clix  version - he fits well into 28mm.
