Just completed two miniatures as "tests" for my gang colours.
First up is Lexxa Vaine the leader of the "Murder Dolls" ( House Escher). I've gone for a glam/goth hybrid.

Next is Khurgan Lighthammer of the "Forge Kings" ( House Goliath). I've painted him pretty much classic Goliath with red armour plates.

A pic of the arch rivals together

I think these will be pretty slow going but I will add more as I finish them.

Looking good, I like the freehand design on Lexxa's gun.
-
Very nice! I love the goth look on Lexxa, works really well.
-
Great scheme for the Escher girl. Well done!
-
Fella, those are grand! The pink and animal print combine really well...
-
Nice job.
-
That Escher is spectacular!
-
They both look great.
:)
-
Solid vision, excellent execution.
This is again one of those threads where I need to zoom out in order to really appreaciate the meticulous brushwork. In real size those figures are absolutely stunning!
-
Nice So. Good to see u still pumping stuff out. Been a while
-
Thank you all for the comments. I should have a couple more finished this weekend

Wow, those are awesome! I remember looking at your online galleries in awe, back in the day. Nice to see you still going strong!
-
The painting is like in the style of an artwork. Unlike my usual paint by numbers! Great work.
-
Thanks gents!
As promised, a few more gang members.....
Gang Escher only at the moment but I will be painting some more Goliaths soon.

Lovely work Mate, I love the Gene Simmons vibe. Glam Rock at its very best :-* ;D
-
Very striking.
-
Really like the colors and look of your gangs; very nicely done.

Wowee, that's some good stuff. Doing all the lenses and gems is pretty impressive!
-
Really nice. I wish I could do as good a job.
-
This Escher gang is the best painted version I've ever seen. They are so vibrant and fun. Best of all, they remind me of old punks. Or at least how old punks think they looked.
-
Thank you all for the comments. I've just finished the last of the Eschers from the set. I'm waiting on some more to build some variations. Hope you like them.

The last one is a Juve so she hasn't earned her facepaint yet!

Always love your work PM.
But i dont see no tear drops.
Those cheeks are screaming for tear drops.

I absolutely love these! I had also planned on giving my own Eschers pink armour but I'm inspired by your paint jobs to give them white faces as well. 8)
-
Nice work - another classic PM paint show 8) 8) 8)
The one with her face half-hidden with the huge mohawk is particularly splendid.
The Goliath looks as if he's borrowed his colours from your Chaos Dwarfs - and that's a compliment 8) 8) 8)
-
Wow! Those are both awesome paint schemes. The vibrant purple of the Escher and the chalk white faces are really striking. The Goliath doesn't "pop" as much but it suits the brutal, utilitarian gang perfectly.
-
Thank you all for the comments. I originally had the idea of painting them with a "kabuki theatre" theme and having them with katanas and back banners. As soon as I used the magenta paint on the armour I changed to 80s glam/punk.
I intentionally kept the Goliath looking more muted and business like to contrast with the peacock Eschers.
I'm still waiting on parts to build minis for gang advancements with more specialist and heavy weapons!
I should have some more Goliaths completed soon.

PM
btw:I will have to change my camera as the Eschers are not so bubblegum pink in real life!
-
Great looking gang you've got there; although I've seen people hypothesise how something like this would look (and I've been wondering myself as well), it's great to see a striking black and purple punk goth so well applied to these figures.

Thank you. I'm pretty pleased with the result,
I've just completed a few more Goliath minis. Not as flamboyant as the Eschers but still fun to paint.

Nice looking squat bounty hunter! I plan on doing the same and build some custom scum/hangers-on/bounty hunter.

Looking good 8)
I think I prefer the older figures but your paint work is persuading me otherwise :)
-
Great colours on those Goliaths too, and loving the deranged expression on axe guy's face! Not somebody I'd want to meet in a dark alley or another alley, or at all.
-
Thank you for the comments.
I have added a couple of "specialists" to my Eschers in the form of a flamer and a heavy stubber. Simple conversions using a hvy stubber from the Orlocks set and a Tempestus Scions flamer. The "beefy" arms are from WH flagellants.

Last up is my finished squat bounty hunter. I wasn't happy with the original head so I blended it with a AOS Fyreslayer. Pretty pleased with the result:

Wow, everything here is inspiring!
-
Your paint jobs capture the colour but also grittiness of Necromunda but the Escher look too fiddly for me to paint. Like the squat and prefer your head.
-
The Squat conversion looks far better than the mini they special-released. Well done.
-
Wonderful painting - and conversions. Full of character and life, just like all your work. I'm looking forward to seeing more, and I'm also becoming more and more likely to pick up a gang or two of the new plastics!
-
Awesome job!
-
outstanding paint jobs
-
Excellent paint and some very clever conversions... especially the Squat merc :)
I look forward to seeing more :)
-
Amazing conversions and painting! Love your squat, the osl from the plasma gun is really well done. Really cool use of the blood reaver too, I've got some lying around that might have to get chopped up now.
-
Thank you all for the comments, they are much appreciated.
Not much progression on the Necromunda front but I have finished a sample Stat Card which I will be using for "skirmish" games ( pick up and use rather than campaign).

I'm also really stoked for the new hi-tech look Van Saar, who I never really liked!
I noticed that Forgeworld have pre-orders up for new Escher Weapons and a download for the updated Escher weapon list.
I think GW is really pulling the stops out ( if only they would proof read their rules....... )

BTW: those interested , a link to a site with some new Van Saar pics, Escher weapons and downloadable PDF.

Many thanks for the link for the new Escher weapons PDF. Much appreciated! 8)

I've just completed the last of my Goliaths ( I will be getting more in the future for different weapon load-outs).
I've been playing with my camera settings and these aren't so "glared out".

Very nice, the conversions are very well done.

I am very impressed! Those eyes, wow!
-
Great work there. Very impressive.
-
Those Goliaths look crazy! Amazing work, love those expressions.
-

Yes.
-
I can't even imagine doing eye's that well...
-
Your goliath scheme rocks. The converted squat looks fantastic.
-
Love the red and gold.
-
Thank you all for the comments. I've had a little break from Necromunda and have decided that I got some paint down on my Van Saar.
I've gone for a dark, muted colour scheme which I think gives them a serious, no nonsense vibe.
First up my leader and a couple of Champions.

Those Van Saar look gritty as anything :o ... Marvelous work :) .
-
Very nice job.
-
Great looking group of sci-fi thugs.
-
I'm not sold on the new Necromunda figures but I like what you've done with them.
-
Fantastic. Your dark scheme validates what awesome arbite enforcers I figure could be made from them.
-
Nice work! I love the use of the RT Eldar power glove.
-
Love the face on the leader, PM! Very sinister looking! I have the new Van Saar, and I'm looking forward to painting them, so inspiration like this is always welcome!
-
Great work. The more I see those Van Saar sculpts, the more I think they look like how the Spyrers should look.
-
Fantastic work! :o
With your paint scheme, they definitely have that ‘Dune’ vibe!
-
Thank you all for the comments. The Van Saar really do look different from any other Necromunda gang ( and GW minis for that matter). I bought a couple of boxes so I could build a few variants and also use them for "other" projects. I will post some more shortly.

Just completed my remaining Van Saar for my "starter gang". As they are expensive points-wise I can only field 7 of them initially. Variations to follow.

I love how dark they are. I am doing test scheme in white but I am not happy with it.
Looking at yours they are born to darkness :P
-
Fantastic! :o
-
Spot on :) .
They have a really gritty look to them and really have a Dune feel about them.
Brilliant :)
-
I may have changed my mind!.....just about the Dune thing! Not about how good they are! I now think they look a bit like soldiers from Altered Carbon! :-*
-
Looking great, I really like the new look!
-
Splendid :)
-
Those are good looking miniatures.
Reminds me I need to assemble my set...
