Do Victrix plan on doing cavalry and chariots?

Great looking figures.
Love your painting.
-
Lovely miniatures and superbly painted to boot :)
I'll have to pick up some, so my Victrix Romans have someone to fight.
-
Fantastic figures and great painting. Will be picking up some to replace the god awful Warlord and Wargames Factory ones.
-

Lovely paintjobs ,I seen these miniatures this morning on northstars facebook page,
I've asked what ratio the different torso options are.
As I'm not interested in the naked or armoured ones just want the woollen trouser ones.
-
Victrix posted sprue pics on their facebook page. If you go there and scroll down a ways you will find them.
-
Very nice work :)
-
I think I see an incredible18 heads for each six figure sprue. No extra shields though. One in six is round.
-
great job as allways :-*

Great paintwork! :-*

Another superb miniature - well done! :-*
-
looks great!
gorgeaous painting job as allways ;-)
-
absolutely stunning indeed
-
Im looking at these and think Slaine conversions :-* :-* :-*
-
Wonderful miniature. Despite my ancient army is Republican Roman, I am still yearning for some of these gallic troops. Maybe a re-run of the battle of the River Ticinus with the Gallic allies of Cisalpine Gaul?
-
Very well done. :-* :-*
Always a pleasure to see your painting.
-
Just joining the chorus. They look as splendid as ever. :-*
By the bye, do you use the models for gaming, and if so, are there any pics? Must be quite a spectacle.
-
So, do the nude gauls have separate heads, does anyone know?
-
Really impressed by these. I’ll freely admit I’m not a great plastics fan but do sometimes mix them on bases with metal figures (it gives the element a more pleasing - to me - “weight”). Has anyone any tips for what metal ranges these could be compatible with (size and style etc)? Thanks in advance!

Yes, they posted the sprues in their facebook page.
All their ancients have separate heads.
-
Thanks Corso, I don't use facebook or other social media (unless you count Interwebs in general).
I will order a couple of packs, they will be handy. I might even start on a Gaul army with the leftovers from my other project.
-
Finally time for more :)

As always, thumbs up! :-*

Thanks for your replies gentlemen 8)
Yeah. How do you paint bronze?
Vallejo Old Gold with Agrax wash and some highlights.
Basically the only non citadel paint I use frequently :D

I have a request for anyone who sees them at Salute. Could you find out what they expect to produce as the armored Gauls? I saw on their FB page the renders of Gauls in what I imagine is captured armor - both mail and linothorax. Those figures look great! Will there be a separate box for those, and in what time frame?
I'm not on FB, otherwise I'd ask there myself.

I think those were armoured chariot crew? No need for the armour to be captured by the way, given that the Celts are commonly credited for inventing the nifty linked rings in the first place (debatable, but they sure made it themselves), and statues show linothorax-style armour too (whether made or traded, who knows?).

I believe they were. I thought there was mention of a separate box of them, not with the chariots (one can only hope).
-
That does ring a bell... but that might have been some initial plan years ago. There are some armoured ones in the normal infantry set already, although the website doesn't state how many.

Am I the only one who can't see pics in this thread anymore?
I've just got some of these myself. This is a very impressive set. Great sculpting. I'm amazed at how the arms get attached with no visible seam almost always. Even on the bare arms which I thought would be a challenge. Now looking for painting inspiration....

No, They seem to have been lost in the ether. Pity because I too am looking for inspiration for celtic plaid. Anyone have any suggestions of a tutorial?
