But on the water world of Mare Solum :)
I’m in a little FB group who have got a water world as a setting for Necromunda (or inquismunda28, or whatever takes your fancy).
It’s not all as ramshackle as the underhive but some bits can be :)
I’ve gone for a prospecting group gathering minerals from heat vents under the surface. Using the genestealer cultist figures but none of the mutation bits and a generally yellow/orange and black colour scheme.
The dinghy was built nearly 20 years ago at uni but for some reason I’ve kept it all this time 🤪 added a few bits to finish it off. The prospectors use these quick dinghies to monitor their mineral gathering stations dotted around the main processing station.
I’m thing a Chris Foss style paint job for all the equipment and tech but with plenty of suitable weathering.

I like that dinghy!
Looking forward to seeing where you are going with this as I have always liked the idea of a waterworld setting.
8) 8)
Had to look up 'Chris Foss' to know what you meant.
Looking forward to seeing your take on it when you get that far.
-
Cheers fella :)
Gonna have a go at a mineral garthering station/rig next.
-
Very nice, it's on the lines of my sci fi version of the Bandits of the Marsh scenario (which I am all bogged :D down in). Looking forward to more.
-
Thanks :)
Bandits of the Marsh scenario (which I am all bogged :D down in).
Get your coat lol
-
That looks really nice. The alternative setting sounds interesting.
I assume you are removing the giant moldlines of death before you stab som paint on, right?
-
Seems we're getting swamped these days in great new projects.
Really like the look and proportions of the dingy. May I ask what you used for the pressurized parts? EMA hard plastic tubing? I'd been planning to do a variety of small craft for my Brit-Fi project, too, but I'm having a hard time finding suitable materials for it.
-
OOh nice James, I'm rather partial to those cultist figures too. The breather mask head looks cool 8)
Thinking I will paint my cultists in orange and white space suits too. I'm looking forward to what follows mate.
Cheers
Matt
-
Thanks chaps :)

Oh yes, it was just to see how it looks.

Yes, it’s all EMA tubing, a bit on the pricey side but worth it for the look in the end.

Yeah, thinking on Eighties colours myself, they have a certain appeal 8)
-
Sounds like an interesting alternative setting, and the stealer cult figures will be perfect: such a versatile kit!
-
Looking great. Watching this with great interest. 8)
-
Looks like it'll be interesting but don't get too distracted from Victorian London! :D
-

Victorian London???
So last week!
:D
-
Cheers fellas :)
Looks like it'll be interesting but don't get too distracted from Victorian London! :D
Not much chance of that lol
-
:-* :-* :-* The setting itself is totally appealing, I'd love to see a board full of platforms, sea monsters and skiffs boarding each other!
Terrific stuff.
-
Started on a small rig. Gonna keep it on the buoy and have plenty of floating platforms around it and a few platforms part the way up. I’m quite glad I kept those old plastic pint glasses from uni lol
(http://leadadventureforum.com/gallery/31/2619-170318080811-318922130.jpeg)
Also got the test scheme on the first figure. Quite pleased with how it turned out, just gonna have to be careful when making the other figures that they don’t stray too much from the overall design. Those new Van Saar figures could do as well...

I like that paint scheme: with all the light colours it's quite different to what you normally see on these figures. The rig looks good too: love all the bits there.
-
You are realizing my 90 ties dream of creating Sump pirates setting Ive never did..
Great job.
-
That is very good.
-
Thanks gents :)
-
Nicely done.
I like the 'salvage' on the base too.
8) 8)
-
That test works for me, the "back" area especially looks good with the colour contrasts of suit, tech, and armour.
Nice PostApoc gunge weathering on the base too. Does any of his breather tech or gun need a bit of a dirty up to match? He's a rather clean fellow.
Cheers
Matt
-
Cheers fellas :)

I thought that and might give it a bit of a go. Although he didn’t take long to paint I don’t want to wreck it and might wait until I’m less chicken lol
-
might wait until I’m less chicken lol
I know that feeling. lol
Id say a little recessed orange rust in the backpack breather tech, perhaps a little dark gunmetal chipping on the white plas-steel armour. I guess the "water boys" can keep their uniforms clean with all that water available for laundry. ;)
Cheers
Matt
-
Looking good, as others have said, a nice different take on the colours of these chaps. I look forward to seeing his buddies.
-
Nice paint job - Star Wars-ish palette, which contrasts nicely with the less-muted Gw schemes.
8) 8) 8)
-
Lovely palette on that cultist, it really does the trick for changing him from a miner to a mariner.
-
Thanks chaps :)

I'll give it a go ;)
-
The mini looks superb. Roll on.
-
I'll give it a go ;)
Good Lad! :D
You should add some boiler suit apes to your band as some mercs, they would fit right in, good thing you have some ;)
Cheers
Matt
-
This looks like an awesome project, love the idea! Very pretty painting, I must say!
-
Belated thanks chaps :)
Salute got in the way but now most of the post-Salute is done I may devote some time to my little projects.
Detailed the tower and gave it a light coat of primer. The floaters are painted but I need about 4x as many... Plenty of pipes and cables to go on after painting but I'm thinking I should've left the handrails off till the end.

Potato!
;D
-
Very nice work there, love the floaters.
-
That looks good, realistic in a sci-fi way, if you know what I mean. Good gubbins too.
-
Insanely good :-*
-
Very cool.
-
Just the perfect amount of gubbins! :-*
-
Thanks chaps :)
Gonna go for mainly yellow with some black bits I think, Chris Foss styley.
-
Wow! Love the rig and the dinghy too! Looking forward to seeing them painted.
-
Those are far nicer than any floaters I've ever made....
I love aqua themed sci fi, This is great :)
-
Nice.
-
That looks alright James. Could you please build the Principality of Sealand while you are at it mate. It would make a good base for your chaps.
Cheers
Matt

Cheers fellas :)

Funnily enough I've got an old rig I started years ago (was going to be in a swamp sea under a hive) that I could dig out again :)
-
Trust you, you salty sea dog. Do it!!!
Two bog rolls, cereal box and a matchbox should just about do it, but i know the Bibbly flair will make it a proud nation state indeed. ;D
Cheers
Matt
-
lol lol
Any sticky backed plastic with that lol
-
Got some paint on the dinghy. Not over enamoured with the colour scheme and I think I'll do some more weathering on the 'deck' but it' out the way now and I can move back onto the rig tower (although some more figures would be good as well )

That has come out really well and the colour scheme really hits the 80's/Action Force/GI Joe vibe, mate.
8) 8)
-
I must say, I'd have expected a yellow-black-striped flotation hull combined with dark grey for the superstructure, but that may be by unwarranted, nostalgia-fueled penchant for warning stripes talking. lol
Seriously though, perfectly fine painting, but maybe a bit lacking in colour contrast. Doesn't really pop, especially when seen next to the contrast-rich figure, but of course you'll have to avoid candyland overload.
-
Now't wrong with that colour scheme.
-
Cheers fellas :)

The tower rig will be blazing in yellow and black technicolour lol
-
Only just stumbled across this. Bloody marvellous.
-
Nice.
-
I will follow with interest. :)
Maybe it gives me some ideas. :D
-
Belated thanks lol
Been a long while since I did anything for this :? Was going to start on an Ian McQue style floaty boat (that can be used for Star Wars as well) but after digging around I found this hull for an Imperial Guard patrol boat that I started a while ago, nearly 20 years ago in fact lol I had an anti aircraft gun scratchbuild somewhere that was going to go on the back but I couldn’t find it so might have a missile launcher instead (the creamy coloured thing). Plenty of work to do of course o_o
Not too sure on the ‘radar’, may do something else.

Boat looks fantastic and the setting is a great idea. The fact you are pulling out half finished ideas from 20 years ago gives me hope.
Instead of the radar what about a bristle of antenna?
-
Are you and Dean joining forces to do water-munda?
Nice one big chap! 8)
-
The boat and the light tower are looking fantastic!
-
Very nice work.
-
So cool! Dammit, I love that
-
Man.. This is great!
Sump Gorka morka style campaign was a thing I always wanted to do..
-
Cheers fellas :)
Instead of the radar what about a bristle of antenna?
Could do. I think I can do several as the ones that I don’t like can get used on something else :)
Are you and Dean joining forces to do water-munda?
He needs to move down here first lol
Probably going to use GH with the boys, it’ll be easy enough to stay up.
Sump Gorka morka style campaign was a thing I always wanted to do..
That would be quite cool 8)
-
There was a short story about hunting sump spiders for their eyes in old rulebooks. It was very memorable
-
Was that for ‘Munda or Confrontation?
-
Munda most definitely. I got it in hardcover book.
Story of Kruknak (?) the Outcast (a little stylised for Moby Dick Ishmael :P )
2 pages spread
-
I’ll have a shufty. There’s loads of little snippets that provide cracking inspiration :)
-
Amazing project, love that it's something else than the usual!
-
Are you sure it is wise to go building boats...?
Watch out for the Coastguard!
;)
-
beautiful paint on the boat. great balance & proportions within all the components. following along.
-
Great stuff! Love the boats!
-
Great! Reminds me the mare solum facebook project
-
Thanks gents :)
Did a bit more on the 'cab' last night and will hopefully have it finished before the weekend.
-
Love this thread, often toyed with a 40k ocean Agri world theme , I think catchans could make a good base for pirate types.
And Cadians with catchan heads or arms make a riverine type PDF force.?
-
Nice Boaty, sir.
Reminds me of one that was in WD donkeys years ago.
8) 8)
Do you want some of these in resin to use as 'Skimmers'?

Of course, mate.
:D

Got an attack of plastic fantastic last night (and about an hour this morning) and made this floaty tug thingy. I'm posting it here but it could be used for Star Wars as well as generic sci-fi.
Heavily inspired by the Ian McQue drawings (and various models of the same). I think I'll paint it a dirty orange with plenty of different coloured panels, wires etc.

Looks nice. :-* :-*
With some paint it will look great. :)
-
I Really like that :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*
where did the engines come from?
-
That's extremely cool. It's also got a 5th Element feel about it. I really like it.
-
Yet again lovely work.
The closest I ever got to that kind of enthusiastic 'plastic attack'
was my first ever Airfix kit, HMS Cambeltown, I was four &
couldn't even read the instructions.
By the way it did not look good when I finished melting most
of it with almost a whole tube of glue, but boy was I proud of it.
I can't wait to see yours painted.
-
I enjoy the way you stick a load of junk together and the result seems so real 8)
-
Nice.
Reminds me a bit of the Noodle vendor fro Fifth Element.
-
Cheers fellas :)
where did the engines come from?
From the GW Valkyrie kit. The other gray bits are from my sci-fi catalogue.
-
Excellent, look forward to shooting it down :D

Beautiful :-* :-* :-*

Brilliant!

This is so cool! Excellent work! :-*

That's cool! 8) You're needing to put some old tyres roped on to the side of it, to give it that used fishing boat look! Maybe a few nets too....

Do you know what?......that'd look really cool floating high above your Manga table with a neon advertising board hanging from it!🤔

Brilliant build mate.
Keep it up 👍👍👍👍
I must make something like that for 15mm, perhaps with gas bags.....

Amazing. Like everything else you build and paint...

Hear hear. Jaw-dropping work in an incomprehensible timeline.

Awesomesauce! :-*
I'm going to enjoy shooting it down even more now lol

Under advisement I’m going to add some tarps on it to break the colour up a bit.

Yeah, that’s what I’m thinking. I saw Battle Angel Alita at the cinema yesterday which was a really bad idea because it made me want to make loads of shit lol

Excellent.

Beautiful. Excellent work sir.

Thanks again chaps :)
Will probably start another one tonight lol
-
Stunning paint job just finishes a cracking build,
looking forward to seeing it in action
-
Nice work James.
Now you need to do a wrecked one for when one of us shoots it down lol lol lol
-
That's excellent. I like the colour scheme too. I could see that working for a huge range of sci-fi genres too.
-
Lovely stuff, I'll get back to my sci fi at some point! And I am following this for inspiration and motivation! Love how you pull a load of parts together to come up with something like this, great stuff.
-
Cheers fellas :)

i finally got a copy of the Necromunda (long time fan) starter box heavily discounted last weekend, and saw Battle Angel (even longer time fan) yesterday. like you, leaving the cinema i was HEAVILY inspired to get cracking on my Necromunda stuff :). film was well done and surprisingly faithful to the source (not a fan of action movies, heavy cgi, or hollywood's takes on my beloved interests, but i was super pleased).

Glad to know I'm not the only person who kept thinking about Necromunda during the flick. Suspect the AdMech cogboys would object to all that heretical technology though - although now that I think about it, Alita's Earth was wrecked by guys from Mars. Hmmm.... :)
-
Got another, smaller, floaty boaty finished.
I've also got a great idea for the 'lighthouse' shown on page two but more on that later one I've done a bit of casting.

Those gubbins on the side that make it seem a little 'off balance' are a cracking idea.
Very 'Star Wars-y' too.

Love the boats ,I can imagine the grey one being stalked by a sump monster ,and the captain saying we are going to need a bigger boat :D

Man, those are fantastic.

That's REALLY inspiring mate! I love the control deck up top! :-*

Wow !those are great!

Hoping to do some work on the lighthouse later this week but we’ll see.

Nice.

Those are inspired, good work (as always) :-*

They look fantastic

Belated thanks :)
Project isn’t dead of course, just on a back burner like everything else lol
I do have another wip to show. Is a small conversion of a HLBSC bathysphere intended for vsf (it should be on his new web site soon). I’ve added some tentacles, grabby hands and a big gun. Thinking that the gun could be on a magnet and would be swappable for something more Victorian but we’ll see.
It’s had a light coat of primer and needs some ‘bull bars’ here and there. I think I’ll paint it a very rusty white with some blue and red details.

Nice work James. This would be perfect for my VSF underwater setting :)
-
Love that bathysphere. Very sinister!
-
Thank you kindly chaps :)
-
Nice :-*
-
Great work mate! 8) Surely though it has to be industrial submarine yellow?
-
I like it very much .... makes me think of The Matrix 8)
-
Cheers again :)
Surely though it has to be industrial submarine yellow?
I thought that but it’s a bit too ‘tropey’ and I can’t find the Humbrol yellow spray I’ve used in the past. It looks like they’ve stopped doing it :?
-
This project is very cool, floaty boaties and otherwise. :-*. Excellent scratchbuilding and converting!
-
Wowie! So much awesomeness in this thread. Love it.
-
Enormously inspirational, I love it! :-*
-
Thanking you :)
I’ve come up with a good idea for the ‘lighthouse’ but it’ll have to wait till November before it get realised :P
-
Another project that disappears for a while and then gets some love lol
Doing a bit more standard ‘Munda terrain at the moment but the Mare Solum stuff is still on the go (technically).
Quite pleased with how the LEDs turned out. It’s been a while since I’ve had to wire anything so there was a bit of back and forth remembering what wire went where lol
I’ve used a few bits from the sci-Fi section of the webshop as they seem to fit quite well.

Very Cool, Love the LED's
-
Nice work - very dark and grimy and, well, grim. The LEDs really add to it.
-
Cracking work as usual mate. The LEDs are brilliant, if you will pardon the pun.
-
Thanks chaps :)
The LEDs were white ones but I dunked them in thick orange paint to both tone them down and reduce the amount of glare. Seems to have worked :)
-
Looking Jim :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

Cheers :)
Finished off a second module last night. Probably won’t be able to start anymore for a while yet though. I’ll do some different coloured LEDs for the next module.

Nice. Makes me want to make some 3d printed stuff with slots for LED's
-
Very atmospheric, now for some dry ice :)
-
Like the effects you get.
I can't be bothered with all the palaver of LEDs
as to get the benefit I'd have to play in the dark. lol
Love the little details, like the power cables hanging down.

Yeeees, I could...
but I can't see where the dice fell. lol lol lol

Thanks :)
Very atmospheric, now for some dry ice :)
I might be able to get away with a little cigar smoke at some point ;)
Painted a quick test of a PDF trooper. Quite happy with the colour scheme although it took some persuasion lol

That is an old plastic. Nice colour pallet. Looks much better with the new gun.
-
Very nice chief!

I like the floatys. I’ve been wanting to build something like those but using a Wasser Schlepp.

Yeah, no more red LEDs lol
-
That is an old plastic. Nice colour pallet. Looks much better with the new gun.
It does, must admit.
I miss the RT days when the Guard all looked the same, though. Leave all the funky outfits and screwball regimental rules to the PDF and make the actual Guard troopers all equipped to the standard, faceless cogs in an uncaring machine whose sheer size demands near-absolute uniformity to sustain itself logistically. You want an IG force with lots of aesthetic variety, have those troops be the local PDF or "special forces" levied in comparatively small numbers by higher-echelon commanders, Inquisitors, etc. and temporarily attached to the masses of proper IG to perform odd jobs, not stand in the battle line dying in droves.
Never going to happen at this point, but it would certainly help silence the endless bitching about why this-that-and-the-other regiment doesn't have unique plastic kits of their own, or why the existing ones haven't gotten an update, etc, etc.
-
Really like the scheme on that PDF trooper. The gun is a nice upgrade and I like the basing.
I can appreciate the aesthetic of ye olde Imperial Army for sure.
-
Cracking color scheme on that IG chap, I really love those old plastic guard, so hard to get now, and super expensive on eBay
-
Amazing work, James! All of it!
-
Cheers :)
I have drawn up some 200mm square base boards that I’ll hopefully be able to cut out at the same time as some commission work over the next few days.
200mm square (with possible rectangles at a later date) and 50mm high with detailed edges so they can act as canal or sump sides. It should make more sense when they’ve been cut and stuck :)
-
Nice work on that Imperial Army trooper ;D
Coincidentally, I've done a couple of squads of these up in the past, with the exact same conversion/weapon swap. I used Catachan lasguns on them, as they looked lighter; more like carabines, and some had a very cool carrying strap too.
Will you be doing more? because like many on the LAF, I too have a soft spot for them :)
-
Nice work on that Imperial Army trooper ;D
lol
Yes, I’ve got a small squad built but I’ve got plenty of others that I can do as vanilla or converted etc.
-
lol
Yes, I’ve got a small squad built but I’ve got plenty of others that I can do as vanilla or converted etc.
I seem to have acquired a few squads of proper RT Imperial Army recently too, from this period.....
http://www.solegends.com/citrt2/rto5ig/index.htm
...which probably will not be touched until next year once I have settled on a colour scheme (probably not standard grey as I am painting a fair bit of that at the moment and may get fed up with it).
This RT lark is getting addictive!
;)
-
Finished off the first squad of PDF :)
Also got a few terrain ‘boards’ primed and if I get some colour on them I’ll post them up.
-
Cracking stuff! Nice colour scheme, and bases too - and the weapons changes work very well indeed. 8)
-
Nice ones. :-* :-*
I should have kept mine instead of selling them. Great figures.
-
Nice :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*
Like the bases
-
Never managed to pick up those plastic guard, always wanted some, you’ve done a great job on them
-
They are a bit good James, and with your conversions much better than the more modern ‘guard. :)
-
Thanks chaps :)
The more modern weapons (and arms) fit quite well.
-
Looking at it all again, & I can't help but wonder...
how do they steer that dingy?
:-* :-* :-* The setting itself is totally appealing, I'd love to see a board full of platforms, sea monsters and skiffs boarding each other!
Terrific stuff.
-
Looking good, mate.
I like that colour scheme on them.
8)
-
Necromunda in your own way! Love it! These kind of projects are always the best, people that don't follow the official look and use their own brilliant imagination to make their own worlds!
Inspiring mate! 8)
Did you ever finish the floaty eyeball?
-
Fantastic stuff!
-
Cheers fellas :)
Did you ever finish the floaty eyeball?
Unfortunately it's still in a box after the move; so many months ago... lol
I have however been slowly getting some boards for this done. The idea is for 200mm squares (a decent size for the laser to do with all the edges) that can also be stacked to give height etc. I've got some stairs/corner sections etc cut out as well along with some more boards so it should be a fairly decent, if compact, set up when it's done.
They can also be put on a sea mat for some extra options and when I've got some more boards painted I'll do a larger set up.
The larger, container type building isn't painted yet.

That would look great on a Sump Sea table set up. I like the modular idea and the industrial aesthetic.

Thanking you :)

Absolutely no idea lol

Just caught up on the thread and all the bits I've missed. Would look good on terra firma or water.

Missed this one James. Really great stuff. It needs to be over run by my Ratskins if I can find them.

Wow, lovely terrain, James!
Always nice to see your work!
-
Belated thanks :)
I mad some more of the base boards over the past couple of months and painted a few more PDF. Hoping to get some more done soon.

Cool stuff - the officer, in particular, is grand. Excellent choice of colours too.

The figure in the last picture, front left.."call that a knife...nah!..this is a knife! " lol
Love 'em,colour scheme is fab 8)

Nice base boards, the weathering looks really good.
-
Thanks chaps :)

What a rotten and dirty game board. At least there‘s some yellow and black striping… ;)
-
Very nice

These look great, and I especially like how the new weapons and arms blend with the old models. Well done! 8)

Always need yellow and black stripes :D

There’s some of the Stargrave arms in there and although they are a tad small it’s not really noticeable.
-
Nice work all round, mate.
:)
-
Nice PDF. I always liked the early imperial guard miniatures style but I hated those crappy separate plastic arms and weapons. I see wargames Atlantic now sell a separate sprue of sci-fi weapons and arms that might be helpful for giving those old 1st edition minis a new lease of life.

Yes, there’s plenty of good options out there now for conversions 8)
-

Interesting; I'd have thought the slightly smaller size would have resulted in a better match with these older figures (as the original plastic arms were quite small if I recall).
@ Diablo Jon:
That's a very tempting sprue! :P
-
It’s honestly not that noticeable. They’re slighter than the originals (hands not as bulky etc). Works fine on the table top.
-
Finished up a dred for the PDF. He’s called Bertie :D

I think I’ll be doing some opposition soon (fingers crossed lol)
-
Love that dread!
-
I’m loving all of your classic PDF. It’s a project I’ve daydreamed about since seeing Blanche’s Confrontation concept art 30 odd years ago.
Nice addition with the dread - great stuff!
-
Cheers :)
I've been thinking about doing them a transport of some sort but haven't decided what yet.
-
Lovely Dread, and I rather like the new bigger gun you've given it. :) The stripes look a bit off-centre, but I don't think they are - rather, I suspect the model itself is perhaps not too symmetrically-sculpted?
I've been thinking about doing them a transport of some sort but haven't decided what yet.
What about something that's a "reverse-engineered" or de-Orkified Battlewagon? It might not be fully period-correct, but it would suit them as a second-tier transport, and also reflect the background that's always existed about Orks making use of wrecked and captured Imperial kit. :)
-
Now that's a proper cannon on that dread. Nice that you gave it the stunty legs instead of the taller ones; they fit the whole Hive city PDF style better, what with all those many tunnels to fight through... 8)
The stripes look a bit off-centre, but I don't think they are - rather, I suspect the model itself is perhaps not too symmetrically-sculpted?
Oh trust me, those dreads are wonky as heck. I've painted some of them before (and one in is the queue at this very moment), and just like most of the RT marines, it's often a bit of a guessing game.
But to me, the stripe looks pretty on the spot to be honest (but maybe I'm used to those lopsided lumps of goofiness by now).
-
Thanks :)
Yeah, the stripe is as centred as I could get it on a wonky head lol I did quite a bit of filing to get it as even as possible but it’s still slightly off lol
For the transport I was thinking more of a hand-me-down from a prestigious regiment or maybe even a marine company. So open topped rhino or something similar. A decent vehicle that’s seen better days. In my head that’s more likely than an old orc vehicle but I do like that idea :)
-
A decent vehicle that’s seen better days. In my head that’s more likely than an old orc vehicle but I do like that idea :)
I meant that since Orks re-use Imperial vehicles, it makes sense that the Battlewagon was likely some form of Imperial vehicle originally too - before it was Orkified. So my suggestion was to make something that looks a bit like it could be modified by Orks into the Battlewagon we're familiar with by reverse-engineering the Battlewagon. Sorry if that wasn't clear before! :)
-
Ah got you :)
That could definitely be worth exploring but probably at a later date as now I’ve got in my head an open topped rhino lol
It might be better for a more ‘open field’ force (which I’ve got on the go) as the battlewagon is a bit big for a hive lol
Could even be something to think about for epic scale as well ???
-
I’ve got in my head an open topped rhino lol
The new Primaris Impulsor might be worth a look for some good ideas? It's basically an open-topped floating Rhino! ;)
Could even be something to think about for epic scale as well ???
Yes, that might be a good idea too! I do remember the old Epic 40k Ork Flakk Wagons looking a bit like trucks, and the later Fanatic versions of the Ork Trukks for Epic Armageddon were also similar I think. :)
-
The new Primaris Impulsor might be worth a look for some good ideas? It's basically an open-topped floating Rhino! ;)
I’ve got a couple of ‘on the sprue’ plastic RT rhinos and chopping one about isn’t a problem but I’ll have a look at the Impulsor :)
-
That is a proper tidy walker.

Lovely old miniature with a great paintjob.

Got a quick game in the other week. I've only got enough of the boards for a 2x2 but it was enough. No report as such but the rules were Galactic Heroes 2nd Ed and it was a bit of a bloodbath lol

I played around with the photos in some editing software to make them a bit more gritty.

Blimey that’s a busy table
-
This table looks delicious.
-
Your table is really nice, it has that vertical element that seems to be missing on a lot of tables. Maybe it's just nostalgia from the old paper and plastic bulkhead of the first edition but without a couple levels and walkways a table somehow seems lacking to me. Good job and thanks for sharing.
-
Cheers again :)

Yeah, I used to play a lot of 'Munda when it first came out with the plastic bulkheads and card elements, great fun 8)

Great looking game.
