Dear gents....I am searching for a Wargamnes Illustrated artical on the austrlian attack on new guinea in WW1.
It was something skirmish like with just a few miniatures on each side....;)
Does anyboby remeber in wich WI it was?
Thanx,
Don

Dunno about the magazine article but the official histories are all on line, so you can access the source material for free.
Here’s the volume on New Guinea:

Oh, I neatly forgot. This site will give you the German uniforms and a little detail on their forces.

I remember that issue. And Iam sure I have it in my WI collection!
How urgent is it?

Took a look at the article in the WI Vault. Pretty amusing although it doesn’t sound like it was much of a fight. There are a lot better figures now for the New Guinea troops now than when that article was written too. Thanks for the heads up. It was a fun read!
