Title: Fall Blau - Tropical Uniforms?

How likely is it that at least some of the forces striking south to the oil fields might have been issued with the tropical uniforms?

Well, anything is possible and many of the Soviet units in the Caucasus wore very light weight uniforms. It is hard to tell from photos as German tropical uniforms start out quite a dark green and are indistinguishable from field grey in bw photos.
