A quick question for the LAF massive.
Looking on Kevin Dallimore’s personal site, and more specifically the wonderful Naval Brigade he painted a few years back, there is what looks like a Gardner gun with a ‘modern’ Copplestone crew (I.e. not Foundry era).
These could well be conversions, but I’m not convinced. I know the sailors were partly taken off sale and the sennet hats were reintroduced. Were there originally support weapons with these beauties too?
Finally the really hopeful question ... if these actually existed then does anyone have any that they would sell or trade. I’m willing to be particularly generous for one or two of these ‘unicorns’ :D :D

The Gardner did exist (with an option to make it into a 3-barrel Nordenfelt instead, if I remember rightly, which I probably don't).
I gave mine to my Belgians, so unfortunately cannot provide you with it.

Don't remember a Gatling, but there might have been. My memory isn't all it could be.

Keith you can get 28mm Gardner Guns from the HLBS site - just bought some for my Nile Gunboats - they turned up in a week and are good

Then just marry them up with the carriage of the Gatling from Perry

The Copplestone naval gun has been OOP for a very long time. I had to beg for one several years ago, I think someone on TMP traded it to me.
As I recall it had two guns, a Nordenfeldt or a Gardner, no gatling.
On my pic the Copplestones are on the right side. The middle crew is Old Glory and the left is a QF gun, I think from Reverisco maybe?

Don't judge the painting or colors on the guns, these were painted a LONG time ago :)
Empress make a decent 1879 gatling with naval crew. I have it, unpainted though.

Thanks for the replies. Funnily enough I have the Empress gun ;)
It’s more the crews that would be really handy - the Naval figures were made during Mark’s ‘big’ period so for consistencies sake these would be the best option.

The pack only had the two crew, one firing, one standing. You're right the Copplestone RN are big lads :)
I should state that I'm not a stickler for exact scale really, I use Foundry, Perry, Copplestone, plus others all together without worry.
I think the Empress are closer in style to Mr. C. than the Perrys, for what its worth.

The gunner does not have his right arm (it came as a separate piece and I used it to turn my Belgian officer into a gunner), but the other fellow is perfectly intact, as is the Gardner mechanism (I used the Nordenfelt, and, as can be seen, the carriage).
They are yours if you want them, Keith.

PM most definitely sent!

The perry's do a gardner gun.
-
Yep - have one of those :)

Can't help on the Copplestone front but Redoubt does a Marine Nordenfeldt gun as part of their Boxer range and Gringo 40 does a Gatling with a Villista gunner.

If you have a carriage then Eureka do a five barrel Nordenfeldt. It’s on a naval pedestal mount but the gun itself is separate. Just another option.
