Thought I would show you some shots of a Siamese/Laos temple being built for me. Here is the roofline!
-
That’s a good start and a good shape too. 8) Do you have an idea or a plan to what this is going to look like?
-
Something along these lines, as I stated before it's being built for me!
-
I knew that, I was just asking if he was going to a plan or you had given him free rein.
Is he going to do the gold, detail work showing at the gable end of the roof?
-
That's a great start, will watch with interest,
-
Hi Andy , the design process was based around various photos I had sent, rough drawings were prepared, the construction is organic and evolves being tweaked as the building develops. There should be some gold or gilt decoration to the gable ends
-
Wow! This is looking great. I love the interesting layering of the roofs. Looking forward to more!
-
Further progress, but still a long way to go
-
Very nice :-*

Happy Thai New Year, while we're in the area.
-
So far I really like the look.
Very cool.
Look forward the seeing it finished.
-
An update, still some way to go
-
Wow, that looks awesome. Any idea how they did the roofing tiles?
-
Indeedy! That looks very good indeed. Most refreshing to see something that isn’t a plaster pagoda rescued from a fish tank or a bronze Buddha smelling vaguely of patchouli oil and incense sticks.
-
The roof tiles were laser cut to order!
-
Even though it isn't finished it is still impressive- very well done!
-
A couple shots, paintwork lightened a bit , sculpt-a-mold added to base
-
looking better by the minute!
cheers

Wonderful bit of building.
Love how it is all coming together.
-
This is incredible! :o
Curved roofs always put me off more complicated builds but you've smashed this one 👌

An update pic
-
That is some beautiful work!
-
An idea for the gable end
-
Looking great Geoff.
-
Some MDF pieces to finish the gables, as the first attempt just did not work

That’s much better! Gorgeous looking building, I just can’t help saying that I find the basing/ flocking lets it down a bit.
-
Wow, that is looking quite impressive!
-
Mock up of new gable finish
-
That looks great Geoff. Nicely done.
-
:o Very Impressive!! Great job!! :-*
-
Splendid ! Outstanding job!
-
The finished Temple or Wat
-
Has come up a peach! Lovely work from your friend.
-
Fantastic! :-*
-
Love it!! :-* :-* This will surely be the focal point of your table. The only problem now will be to field terrain that measures up to your temple.

Wow, it is a masterpiece.
Love it, look forward to seeing the terrain you make to go with it.
