A great book, Italwars, and thank you for posting the link here for us all.

I discovered it a few years ago and tracked down a copy for myself, but this online digital version is quite excellent.

I especially remember the charge made by half-a-dozen Ghazis at a company of the 24th Punjab Infantry, described on p.42 and illustrated on p.43, with the Ghazis' less-inspired comrades-in-arms lining the hilltop behind them, complete with triangular standards.

Wonderful stuff indeed, and a great source for NWF scenarios.

Wow! That is great stuff! Thanks for posting it.

Makes me realize how complicated is gaming the Northwest Frontier operations, though. Such a rough terrain! How can it be represented in the tabletop with any accuracy!? Oh, well...

hello Mad Guru..happy that you read the post here in LAF ..i was thinking also on you while posting it ..i did'nt find your mail in order to also send you a link...
about the plate of charging Ghazis you already posted it on another forum and we had an interesting conversation about it..i already experimented with Ghazis in TSATF (and also with their Moros Wars version called "Juramentados"..it dramatically worked well..yes i agree quite a few of those plates help to let  imagine some scenarios.
about the difficulties of reproducing NWF landscape i agree and noticed on many picts od scenarios that i saw on the web that what is lacking in realism is the montains linked in a sort of range instaed of being isolated..as you can see on plates passages between and among mountains were few and close.
