Rimlicker - noun (derogatory)
A spacer who plies his trade on the fringes of known space, not always strictly legally, and usually piloting an elderly and unreliable light freighter.
Rogues and ne'er do wells, basically. Some, like Solo or Reynolds, have become bywords for maverick charm and their rustbucket ships are almost as famous as they are.
Some, like this band, will never amount to anything more than being the butt of a bad joke...
The crew of the Harlem class planet-hopper Yo Mamma, a group of ex military types who decided to head out on their own after being on the losing side of one war too many.
From left to right:
"Tiny" Huang, ships enforcer
Captain Harry Balzac and his null-cat, Taint
Ships engineer Kremlyn
Charlton Manspread, ex-sniper, still holding onto his prized KenTech-E rifle.
Some more to come when finished...

The paintjobs look pretty damn fine too.

The use of that emoticon is just wrong lol
I guess it could have been worse though ;D

lol lol lol
Just added the word to my particular dictionary :D. The minis are as charming as the title suggests ;)
-
Thanks for the comments chaps, glad to see I am not the only one with a childish sense of humour!
To answer some questions, yes, I think Crichton counts as a rimlicker, and never mind a ruleset, it needs a theme tune! lol
A few more since the varnish dried properly...
Occasional crew members: trader and diplomat Lady Gaaten and medic/science officer Dr Boompengrindt.
Ships servo minibots: FR4NK1E and GRU-tek 808 series minionbot, "Bob".

Very good, BollyJob! Very good, indeed.... lol
-
This, I really enjoy!
Great job, lovely stuff!
-
These are an excellent crew, although I suspect they may be guilty of nefarious activities and frequenting back-street liquor dens.
Do you plan to make the Yo Mamma?
-
Keep up the good work. I'm looking forward to seeing more of these :)

Do you plan to make the Yo Mamma?
I doubt it, I think I would have trouble storing something as fat as Yo Mamma.
I'm so sorry, I couldn't let that one go... lol
But no, I'm struggling for storage space so a whole ship is probably beyond me. Although I do have the lovely Daemonscape resin dropship that might make a nice fast smuggler.
Thanks again for the positive comments, I may have another addition tomorrow. :)

This is absolutely tickling!
-
Very good, especially like the minionbot.
I can see them getting involved in adventures on the rim, skirting around the odd black hole I dare say. Ahem.
I'll be leaving then.
-
Very nice figures!!!
-
And due to my shitty broadband, here we are back a few days later than planned. ::)
Anyway, thanks once again for the comments, and I hope you will enjoy the latest additions to the Rimlickers! universe - Bad Guys!
I don't know what the Yo Mamma's crew did to upset these guys, but the Cobramen of Chode are proving to be an implacable foe, being determined trackers and slippery gits.
In order:
Commander Fawsken
Some expendable cobroid grunts
A large Chodian hunting beast. When relaxed, they are the size of a large dog, but once the blood starts pumping and they can smell their quarry they become engorged to quite a gigantic size. Aside from fangs and claws, they can also immobilise their prey by spitting a viscous, white fluid onto them...
Looks like Balzac is going to get sticky!
-
To thwart commander Fawskin, you should now be painting up an inquisitor of the holy Circumsision. =c=
Nice painting pervert lol
-
Large chodian. I thought there was no such thing.
Great laugh there. Nice painting too.
-
Nice painting pervert lol
Takes one to know one... ;)
Thanks for the comments, I'm now considering an intergalactic super villain called Circumscissor.
