Hi
I’ve been working with a very talented ex-Foundry sculptor to create a new range of 28mm mongols - more info on my blog but here’s a taster!

Looks promising :)
-
Please consider making them open handed
-
These look nice. Please make some on foot.
-
Please make them close handed so they can be drilled out.
-
Very Nice!!!Congratulations and best of lucks with your new miniatures project!!

Please make them close handed so they can be drilled out.
I would second this, having painted a romano British army last year the footsore miniatures which had a close hand where you drill out the hand for the spear, axe sword was great compared to GB and saxon miniatures pen handed minis. Both nice minis but the open hand leads to repeated weapons popping off no matter what you do to secure them

Looks promising :)
I hope for some foot mongols, there is a lot of mounted around
-
The first release will be mounted, covering the early mongol conquest period, which is not well represented in 28mm. For most of their history, and with the exception of sieges, the mongols fought mounted.

Comparison shot. I’ve temporarily mounted my mongol on a Dixon’s Samurai horse (mongol ponies are currently being sculpted) and put him alongside a Footsore Miniatures Arab Cavalryman

And just a few more pics ...
