I have started to put together a “Freelancer” crew for Scrappers. Originally they were going to be “Gamma Lords” but I wanted to field a synthetic in the crew (which I wasn’t allowed to). Also by making them freelancers it gives me an extra veteran slot as well as access to an extra scarce item!
The miniatures are Dudes from Hungry Troll’s Nuke Wars range. They are HUGE and make GW Goliaths look like wimps! The synthetic is from Maxmini.

GREAT PAINT!!!! I'm happy you posted these as I ordered them from Hungry Troll and they should be here in about a week. It always helps me to have reference photos. I have trouble seeing the details sometimes!

I use thinned down GW "Dark Flesh" ( now called Doombull Brown) for the darker rust and thinned down GW "Blazing Orange" (Troll Slayer Orange) for the lighter rust. I used it quite watery so it flows freely.

Next up is "Uncle Reboot" he's a slave cyborg ( badly injured former crew member) I was originally going to use a smaller mini from Maxmini but it was too small. This one is a GW kataphron Servitor. I just need to attach him to his base and tidy him up a bit.

I had an old die-cast trailer in my bits box and thought it would be ideal for hauling scrap. The bottles and the "scrap" in the back are from Alpha Forge I believe.

Really amazing work! I love the colours you've used and the wear and tear on all the equipment. I'd never heard of hungry troll before, they're some really nice miniatures.

My order arrived and I’ve pinned and glued the dudes. These castings are incredibly clean! A couple bits of flash and NO mold lines! Looking forward to copying your paint scheme as best as I can.

I totally agree about the castings. They have got to be some of the nicest metals I have bought. I look forward to seeing what you come up with!
