Some of you might remember a while ago I did a large building base for the Aspern Essling campaign in the Napoleonic wars. There's a couple of pictures of the first one at the bottom of this post. I've gotten the second one finished now and I'm hoping for a third :)

Fantastic Jim! Easily some of your best! :o

Outstanding job!
One may look at the pics again and again and find one more little detail!

Many thanks gents :)

Quite my favourite piece you’ve produced. Stunning. :-*

Will just stick with Brilliant!
Tony.

Stunning work! :-* :-* :-*
-
Seriously - you need to write a “How to” book so those of us who aren’t worthy can learn from an obvious Master of the craft. :-* :-* :-*

Aw that's blooming lovely James. Just stunning.
The different colours in the wood planks and aged wood are a splend touch sir.
You do an alright job at that James, have you considered turning it into a job ;)
Cheers
Matt

Great work from you as always James! Every time I see your work I keep thinking to myself, I have to get that Samurai castle building going...but then I see the level of your skills and feel, well, intimidated.... :( But I hope to give it a go before long!
-
Beautiful textures and colours. The last photo - I didn't notice the first time round, but the stone paving looks like it's covered in lichen.
-
Absolutely stunning work Jim :-*
-
Brilliant work.
Is this a commission? Any idea how they plan to use it in a game? I take it it is 28 mm (if you tell me its 6 mm I will definitely have a heart attack!)

Colour me green (with envy).
Outstanding work.
-
Simply, wonderful.

Many thank again for the positive comments :)

Don't be. We all start from somewhere, I'm just fortunate that i'm able to spend more time than most getting it right (mistakes still get made though, I just keep them quiet :D)

Superb

Just stunning James, outstanding in every way. Based on actual buildings at Aspern/Essling or a 'mashup'?

Thanks gents :)

Extrapolation from supplied photos. It's built for that campaign but needed to be generic enough to be used elsewhere.

Any chance of this magnificent terrain one day being shrunk down to 20mm?
-
Love the clock tower, what period are they for? I can just imagine some vampires strolling about there chased by an angry mob

It's a commission piece but I wouldn't be adverse to doing a slightly smaller one :)
