Places visited: Rosebud, Little Bighorn battlefields, Wagon Box fight, Fetterman Massacre site, Fort Phil Kearny, Fort Laramie, and Fort Bridger. Also, the Cody Museum with a lot of native American items. And the Medicine Wheel 10,000 feet up in the Bighorn Mountains.

I think I need to make a 'reposte' against has.been - though meaning no disrespect. He did post some fine photos and I'd like to know all of the locations, please.
However, I fear that teepee isn't a traditional one - while it might be a canvas teepee, which became pretty common in the latter portion of the 19th century, from the way the material hangs on the poles (which are a traditional style) I suspect it is a synthetic material. Teepees are a pretty popular item and one can buy them in a wide variety of configurations these days. Most of the teepees one sees on display for tourists are usually canvas.
To fulfill the request, I've posted a few photos of a traditional teepee on the blog and here is a shot for comparison against the one above, for Hu Rhu:

Mind you, has.been's photo may be of a very traditional teepee if the natives had access to such materials in the latter half of the 19th century. :D

We visited the Little Big Horn in 2015... great experience and one I had wanted to have for many years. It didn't disappoint. One of the nice surprises was the great battlefield bus tour done by the Crow. Our guide knew his stuff, and our drives was the great, great (not sure of the number of greats really) granddaughter of White Man Runs Him.

'My' teepee photo was taken at the Tatanka museum out side of Deadwood, as was the one of the life-size
buffalo bronze statue. The museum came about because Kevin Costner had an artist create a buffalo hunt,
which was to have decorated a casino he wanted to build. He couldn't get permission so had to find some use
for the statues.
I do have more pictures if anyone wants them posted.
War in 15mm, visiting the Little Big Horn was a long time wish of mine. My lovely wife agreed to pass over
several nice holiday options in the USA, to go for the one that included the battlefield. If anyone else does go
I heartily recommend you also visit the Crazy Horse monument which is not (in American terms) far away.
They are (still) carving a mountain! The story behind that is fascinating.

Looks like the teepee below the picture under Crazy Horse's statute photo was taken in the visitor center there. The combination of two photos, my from the Cody museum, and the one in the post above give a nice set of companion pieces - one plain, one painted. I think the teepee was there when we visited but I don't recall if I got any good photos of it - might have been too many people in the way.

It was in the visitors centre, which has a lot of nice bits. One of my regrets on that trip was they were offering bits of the mountain that had been blasted away to make the statue. They were FREE!
They were also large & heavy (I might have been able to get a pebble sized bit home to the UK. I would have loved to have a complete rockery from the bits (yes they were that big) but the extra baggage charge would have cost more than the trip.

Well, since we drove back there from California, we were able to pick up some nice pieces of those rocks. I even found a good size piece that approximates the shape of the mountain being carved that I'm going to try and turn into a small version of the great carving - with my decidedly limited skills.
