Title: Roman Villas at Chedworth and North Leigh
Post by: carojon on May 01, 2018, 08:03:25 AM
I have put together a post on a recent visit to two Roman villa sites in and close to the Cotswolds.

Two really interesting and different sites that illustrate life in Roman Britain over the second to fourth centuries as these two buildings were developed and then abandoned in the fifth century.

If you would like to know more then just follow the link to JJ's

I enjoyed reading that, good timing as well as I've just finished reading a history of Roman Britain. It does make me wish I'd got to go take some photos of the roman road near here when it was exposed recently.

I remember I’ve been to Chedworth and my first thought was ‘why have they tiled the walls when they’re only two feet high’  lol
