Hi all,
Sadly the website for Killer B Games has gone and the chap who hosted it is not returning any of our messages so I hope he is ok.
Until we get a new website up (Which won't be for a while yet) You can of course still order from Recreational Conflict if you are in the USA/ Canada, and if you are in the UK simply use the Recreational Conflict website to see what you would like and PM me here whereupon I'll send you our contact details and I'll sort your order out and send you a Paypal invoice.

Not ideal I know so sorry for the inconvenience.
In the meantime here's a look at what will be coming in the future for our 1950s/60s Invasion X range: (Cops, Venusian Saucermen and their High Priest, Citizens, a Gonzales Humanoid Leader and an Alien Spaceman Supreme Leader in his giant 'Things to Come' style helmet.

Gee Willikers! :o
The heavens. Once an object of superstition, awe, and fear. Now a vast region for growing knowledge. The distance of Venus, the atmosphere of Mars, the size of Jupiter, and the speed of Mercury. All this and more we know. But their greatest mystery the heavens have kept a secret. What sort of life, if any, inhabits these other planets? Human life, like ours? Or life extremely lower in the scale? Or dangerously higher? Seeking the answer to this timeless question, forever seeking, is the constant preoccupation of scientists everywhere. Scientists famous and unknown. Scientists in great universities and in modest homes. Scientists of all ages.
Very cool. You make me want to start yet another alien invasion project, but set in the fifties.
Seriously; so much potential here! Please produce these... 8)
-
Thanks Daeothar,
The 1950s Invasion X range is well underway with the rulebook and several packs already released. The available figures include: U.S. Soldiers, Majestic 12 Agents and assorted aliens.
For anyone into Ufology there are also packs of aliens taken from "real" close encounter incidents such as the Roswell Greys, Hopkinsville Goblins and Gonzales Humanoids.
Check them out here: http://www.recreationalconflict.com/
After these previewed figures are released I'll be getting some more civilians done and some more aliens (Imjarvi Dwarves, Nordics etc.)
Keep watching the skies!
-
After reading this thread and chatting with Craig at Killler B, I got my hands on a set of the Invasion X rules.
It's clear Craig has put a lot of work into them, and they capture this period of sci-fi perfectly. There's no doubt some fun games are ahead.
In the meantime, it's time to dig out those B movies for scenario inspiration. Earth vs The Flying Saucers anyone?
-
Quality. Those cops are excellent and some of the others are a bit nice too....
-
Soooo.... How much longer until the new Inavasion-X figures are available? You said 'about a month' about a month ago... :D

Hey Viruz good to hear from you. I'm busy sorting out a website now . In the meantime you can find pictures of the miniatures being referred to here at the beginning of the thread.
I've just received the stock of the Venusians so will post pictures of them tommorow. They are £10 for 5. 1 pack are pistol armed, the other is rifle armed.
And I've decided to call the Venusian priest the Venusian Emissary (as it sounds more mysterious and Twilight Zoney)
-
Got to say, the new figures are really good - I have the cops on the painting desk at the moment :)
-
@ Captain Gamma
I am looking forward to more pictures :-*
The website is under construction ?
Great.
I miss more Retro Sci-Fi miniatures or Western Sci-Fi miniatures. :'(
Keep up the good work.. :D
-
I concur these are great figures. My first batch are painted and the new arrivals have been sent off to be painted.
The terrain is almost complete so I'll be having my first game soon.
Captain G, do you have plans for more figures in the pipeline?
-
Yes indeed. A short order cook and waitress are currently being sculpted along with some Imjarvi humanoids to add a Christmas feel to the range in time for the festive season.
-
Can one still buy those Captain Gamma Rules?
-
Alas not. The GAFDOZ rules are now out of print.
-
Yes indeed. A short order cook and waitress are currently being sculpted
That is exactly what I need! I haven't come across anything similar on the market and I need them for my diner.
-
I only hope I can get them out for Christmas.fingers crossed.

Sorry Viruz I've been a bit under the weather with man flu. I promise I'll put the Venusians up tonight. In the meantime you can see some of them on page 1 of this thread.
-
So here are the new Venusian Saucermen Packs: Rifles and Pistols. £10 for 5
-
All of the new stuff is now also with Recreational Conflict in the USA so U.S. customers should be able to order them in the next few days.
-
Thank you very much.
I'll send you the order.
Get well soon.

-
Alas not. The GAFDOZ rules are now out of print.
Did you ever publish this scenario booklet?
The Dragon Men Of Hydrus
Are you expanding that GAFDOZ range at all?
-
Hi Minipigs,
The first Scenario book was indeed produced. And we have them in stock still. At present we are concentrating On the Invasion X range so there are no immediate plans to expand the GAFDOZ range although there are lots of characters already drawn up.
-
But you haven't the original rule book?
How can I buy a copy of this scenario book from you?
-
The original sold out but the scenario book didn't. That's why we have some stock left. The book is £10 with £2.50 postage. You can PM me your PayPal address and I'll send you an invoice.
-
Anything new on the Invasion X horizon? Last autumn there was talk of some more characters... ;-)
-
As it happens a Diner Waitress and Cook are sculpted and away to be moulded along with some Imjarvi humanoid dollies. So we should have some new releases in the next couple of months.
-
Yay :)
All these Vietnam threads, with assorted cold war armour, has got the 50's ideas brewing again :D
-

Great news Craig! I need a screamer so the waitress will do nicely.
-
lol that sounds so wrong. ;D I'll post the photos of the greens this weekend.
-
lol Good point! Must remember it's B movies we're making here.
-
Photos of the Short Order Cook and the Waitress. For anyone interested in the Imjarvi Humanoids here is the tale behind them from The UFO Insight website: https://www.ufoinsight.com/the-imjarvi-and-kinnula-alien-humanoid-encounters/
On the afternoon of 7th January 1970, at around 4:45 pm near the small village of Imjarvi, Woodman Heinonen, and Esko Viljo, were each skiing down one of the snow-covered hills in the region towards one of the glades they would use as a resting spot. Although it was not yet dark, the sky had taken on a dark-orange glow announcing the immediate arrival of the night. A few stars were already visible and the sky itself was clear and cloudless. Perhaps more importantly to their immediate health, it was cold and rapidly getting colder, below the minus mark.
As they were resting and catching their breath a buzzing noise suddenly became apparent to them. As did the strange light moving quickly across the darkening sky. Each watched the object as it approached their location. As it moved closer, it also descended. The faint buzzing was now considerably louder, proving this other-worldly object was the source of the noise.
Suddenly, the craft stopped its descent and hovered. A “red-grey mist” appeared to cloak the object, moving in a swirling motion. The descent began again, only much slower. They would describe the craft as round or disc-shaped but with a flat underside. It also had the appearance of a metallic exterior. The object would halt its descent at around twelve feet, so close that Heinonen would claim, “I could have touched it if I had reached up with my ski-stick”.
Heinonen would further claim that the top of the craft featured a dome and “three spheres or domes spaced equidistantly” along a raised part on the lower edge. In the middle of the underside of the craft was a “projected tube”. As the men watched, “an intense beam of light” suddenly flashed from this tube, directly downwards.
This light would illuminate the snow on the ground before disappearing again. This was repeated several times. It was as the two men watched this bizarre light display that Heinonen had the sudden feeling that “somebody had seized my waist from behind and pulled me backward”. It was then that he saw “the creature”.
Standing in the middle of the beam of light was a small humanoid, about three feet in height. In its hands was a dark, black box. He could see a “yellow glow” that seemed to come from inside of the box. The creature was dressed in a green overall-type outfit and what skin was exposed was pale “like wax”. The arms and legs were extremely thin, while on its feet were a pair of green boots.
Viljo would recall that the frame of the creature was “like a child’s” and that it wore a “conical helmet” on its head which was “shining like metal”.
Without warning, the creature turned the box towards Heinonen, pointing it towards him as if it were a weapon. A red-grey mist formed out of nowhere and “large sparks started to fly from the illuminated snow”. Many of these would hit Heinonen but they did not cause any injury or pain.
Viljo would recall how “the sparks were shining in several colors”. As this was happening, the creature was no longer visible. The thick red mist covered it entirely. Then, without warning, “the beam melted, flew up like a flickering flame and was sucked into the gap in the craft”. The mist, the light, and the creature were now gone.
I added them to the range as I thought they would make for a great Christmas scenario. The more classic "Real Life" alien creatures will of course be coming, such as the Nordics, Lizards, Teros, Deros etc.
-
Love the chef and waitress :)
-
YES!!! I especially love that waitress has roller skates on! I am really looking forward to these additions to add to my growing 1950s sci-fi project. To be honest, I would love to see this line explode with more miniatures, especially the civilian human line. I really hope to see the four youngsters, the husband and wife, and the professor (hopefully with smoking pipe) next. Keep up the great work.
Joe
-
I'm using the armored Alien Spacemen as Soviet Spacemen
-
Great idea Ghost! What colour schemes are you using for them? I'd love to see photos of them in action.
And Joe, more civilian characters are coming. I'm just deciding which ones to do first.
-
At last! We finally have a new website!
www.killerbgames.co.uk
Also the Cook and Waitress have been moulded and will soon be in a production mould. When the Imjarvi Humanoid dollies come back from the moulder I will be sending them off to the sculptor to be completed and having some new Invasion X human characters sculpted at the same time.
Keep Watching the Skies!... or the website news page if that's easier for your neck.

-
Wow!
That's loads!!
-
Is there a problem with the website?
-
No? There doesn't seem to be any issues? Sometimes if you refresh the search that sorts it if the website doesn't appear first time.
-
I'm getting a time out error.
-
Hmm it seems to work ok when I follow the link.
www.killerbgames.co.uk
-
I asked some friends to try and they had no problems either. So, the fault is somewhere with me. Infuriating as I wanted to have a good look at your Christmas range.
-
I'm sorry to hear that. Theres a thread on the 'Other Adventures" section of LAF right now where you can see all of the Christmas figures. I only updated it the other day so its still near the top.
-
Cheers.

Bloody hell Craig! :o
They'll be added to the collection when released. :)
-
Given the sculptor was hard at work in October... any teaser pics of those patrolmen yet? ;-)
-
Hes still busy with them as he obviously had to concentrate on the Blitzkringle figures in time for Christmas.
-
Fair enough - can't blame a chap for hoping though lol
-
So... any more news from the sculptor? ;-)
-
Nothing yet, he does sculpt for a billion other companies though. As soon as I get the GREENS I'll post them here.
-
Do the Invasion X figs mix well with Brigade Games Atomic Cafe figs?
-
I was just looking over the Geezers range last night for 70s civilians. Very nice looking sculpts, but very few women.
Any chance you might add more female figures (unarmed or with simple weapon snips)?
What's the typical toe-to-eye height?
-
Some characters from the films Cry Baby, Grease and Hairspray would be nice too.
-
Do the Invasion X figs mix well with Brigade Games Atomic Cafe figs?
I think so - they are similar heights but different sculpting styles and 'heft', which I could see might bother some people. I can get you some comparison pictures after Easter (in the process of moving house)?

Although we may add more women to the range at some point, there are no immediate plans. The Geezers figures are about 28mm grow to eye.
-
Thanks, Captain. Very happy when figures that are listed as 28mm actually are as advertised.
Hope you do add some more women later, female civilians are in very short supply on the market.
