My blog is back in the 'alternate reality' of 1938 this week, as the Bishop of St David's army tries to take a Bridge on the River Wye...

Oh gosh - that brings back some memories and marked my introduction to VBCW - Mark, you have a lot to answer for😊

It’s great to dive into your splendid VBCW again and enjoy your excellent back story. I could carry on the drama by linking to my own account of the battle your lads never reached, The Bridge Over the River Wye but I don’t want to hijack your thread.

Actually, Mark, my 3 Cocks is not much more than a link to yours. It was my report of the succeeding game “Bridge Over....” etc that I thought would be interesting because it carries on the narrative.
