Title: Bit stumped as regards 'transfers'!!!
Post by: Harry Faversham on May 30, 2018, 09:15:06 AM
Got myself a 1/56 Saracen APC and can't find anyone making BAOR type decals in this scale. Where am I going wrong?

???

I would also be interested  in BAOR decals (I have a 1/48 scale Ferret awaiting construction).

No idea if this is any use.

I'm kind of hoping for something similar to these markings...

So you (and I probably) are after:
Registration numbers
Division signs
Tactical signs
Bridge weights
Troop signs.

These might be a bit large for you (though might be useful for Empress/Evil Bear/HLBSCo).

I ordered fro Doms Decals over a month ago.
He has had my money, but:-
failed to deliver; ignores e-mails & I would be hard put to recommend him.

Dom's had all sorts of issues over the last year or so.

You will get your stuff. Eventually. Well, a week or so after Eventually.

With that in mind I would be hesitant to place an order if you are in any kind of a hurry  :?

Edit: back to the OP, I'd just  'draw' them and print my own - decal paper is easy to use (if you follow the instructions) and not expensive

I think I might have muddled through with the transfers. I'll post a couple of piccys when they arrive.

Don't want to start a whole new thread for just one question. I've gleaned myself some 20mm BAOR vehicles, nice but with no decals. Who makes them, I'm not too fussed as long as there's those iconic little Union Jacks for the mudguards!

I-94 do a sheet with Union flags, St George and St Andrew flags of various sizes.
Bottom of this page:

I am using the smallest as shoulder flashes for my Evil Bear power armour.

Company B. He made me a bespoke set for my Saladins and Ferrets.

Now I'm cogitating on adding some Saracens to my new 20mm BAOR warriors. Not sure if the Airfix/JB Models kits, or Dinky's old diecast model would look best? I'm leaning toward Dinky as 20mm white metal figures usually look too bulky alongside Airfix kits.
