After spending the better part of 18 months working on terrain I am returning to my ECW project. I bought two Warlord Games Pike and Shotte Battalia many moons ago, (not long after they were released actually) with the intention of turning them into a Royalist force. From the original purchase (a few other "items" have been procured since... ::)) I have an Infantry regiment to complete; a squadron of cavalry; and 10 Firelocks to finish.
A sleeve of shot for the red regiment:

With that, a major milestone in my ECW project has been reached: two Warlord Games Battalia box sets completely painted:

Very nicely done.

Thank you Plutarch. :)

That's a very nice looking force, as was mentioned previously the tone of red on the red regiment really works well. I found the stick on swords to be a bit of a pain (always falling off).

Thank you pbj1. :) I found the stick on swords to be a bit of a pain (always falling off).
Yeah, they are. They fall off or break.

Fantastic work!
Nothing beats the look of a large, neatly-painted army on square bases.
