Title: Cape Helles Landings - April 25th 1915
Post by: monk2002uk on July 06, 2018, 08:31:54 AM
Here are some photos illustrating the progress made on this project. First, an overview of the Cape Helles battlefield covering S, V, W, X and Y Beaches:

Krithia is off-table to the 'north'. Here is a close up view of the V Beach area. It illustrates the scratch-built Sedd el Bahr fort and the town, which comprises 3mm Oddzial Osmy ruined buildings:

Baccus 6mm British Middle East WW1 figures can be seen landing on V Beach in this photo. SS River Clyde can just be seen bottom right:

The same scene but from a different angle. You can see the sally ports and gangways associated with SS River Clyde:

Finally (in this post), a close-up view of the Baccus figures, deploying in the lee of Sedd el Bahr fort:

Thank you very much. It has involved a lot of effort but nice to see the end results in sight. I am going to replay the landings, hopefully this weekend.
