Hi again,
a few years ago an old friend came to my place had me help him carry a whole closet of miniatures into my house.
Included were more than 40 classic GW Chaos Warriors from the 1980s and 1990s.
I've begun painting them. They are extremely easy to paint as they tend to be bold but well done sculpts.
Have a look:

Great figures! There's something about those old Citadel Chaos miniatures that hasn't really been replicated since.

Love that figure! Been trying to pick one up on ebay but they're silly money.

I much prefer the old 80's ones to the current ones, that's probably nostalgia though!
Yeah, that snake tongue one is about £10 on ebay at it's cheapest.
-
Great stuff.really nice paint jobs.
I must get my chaos army photographed. Been 30 years in the making and its nearly finished.
-
Yes I love that snake tongue guy too but I was just wondering, is it a tongue or is it actually its head? I always thought tongue too.
-
I always pictured it as not a tongue as such but the sucking part of a fly mouth (being a nurgle type).

Those are great. Thanks for this.
-
:) Brings a smile to the face.
-
I've got that one to paint too, it's a great figure. I wonder how many people don't notice the feet?
-
I love old school GW minis. It's cool to see these veterans get some love. It's surprising how many of them ring a bell from my childhood.
-
These are so awesome! Keep 'em coming!
-
The Realm of Chaos releases were like a great crescendo in the symphony of fantasy miniatures production. Thanks for sharing these; viewing them is a real pleasure. :-*
-
I am flashed by so many nice replies. Thank you all!
And as called for, I have another picture:

Thanks a lot!
I had the name in mind but just spoken. And without the right spelling, I wasn't able to find evidence on the net.

I painted kaleb not that long ago! Nowhere near as good as yours.
I had to find an alternative horse for him as the original one looks like a shetland pony

Thanks steeders!

Oh look, it's old Slurpy!
One of my mates had one, and we all called it Slurpy. This was as far as wit had developed amongst us at the time.

Love this thread - I think my favorite is the guy in the pink and orange with the twin-bladed axe!
