Binge watching with my wife and thinking of possible versions of this for GH, it's very Lovecraft.
Has anyone done anything based on this?
-
I watched it some weeks ago, had also the idea of a pulp alley game. But it is one of these ideas I will never realize, I‘m afraid.

Not on Amazon in the UK alas...

That's a great adaptation to what is in my mind the best novel of Dan Simmons
-
Terrific series - costuming, performances - all excellent.

The producer in America is AMC. Maybe they have an other partner in the UK.

It was on BT Vision in the UK

Argh, fight the urge to watch The Terror. But maybe I should reconsider that decision. lol

Funny enough, a sequel is in the works though I think it's like True Detective where they change the cast, date, situations and settings. A direct sequel to The Terror would be a hard sell given what occurs.

Yes the next season is in Japanese Prisoner of War camap I believe (WW2), and after that it will switch again
-
More details on the sequel here - spoilers on Season 1 however.

you can buy 'episodes' for streaming on amazon uk - I then had to do the prime thing to enable it an app to work on our TV - and intend to watch it as a spooky tale over Christmas with the folks.
have already cancelled the Prime membership, but the free trial lasts a month (ish).
a friend had recommended the book very highly, and having watched 10 mins or so, it looks a classy adaptation.
* I should add that it appeared I could watch the episodes on a PC, without having to take out Prime membership.

Am a big fan and it prompted my GF and I to get the audiobook, which we have a few more hours to go on. We love it and listen while I paint and she does calligraphy. :) Eagerly anticipating the next season.

I remember the time The Terror got into a fist fight with Teddy Roosevelt on the White House lawn.

It was okay. Paid by the episode because it wasn't covered by our Prime account. It started out good. Goes on a bit too long for my taste.
