Duhamel and Aircav!
nice work!
Aircav, How did you do that holster?
Russian opolchenie militia.are - care to enlighten me?
You even went to the trouble to make their moustaches different in the correct way. That's devotion. I approve.
Awhile ago I saw on Dads Army that they had used a Panto Cow as an observation sentry and wanted one for my unit . I ran out of time before the demo game that we put on at a show last year so never did it .
Now Foundry have a Panto Horse I again really wanted one so decided to build it while I am on leave .
While looking at the full sized photos I noticed how rough it was looking so may have to use some filler after priming it .
Also there is a GW Genestealer which I converted to an Alien . Now only another 23 or maybe 31 to go depending on how many sets I can pick up cheaply.
Hi, hi, hi - lovely!
Your idea and forming of this Panto Cow is great an very innovative.
Have you one or two pictures for a closer view?
The Panto Horse from Foundry was good, but this one ist better ;)
Do you know this movie?

You just gave me the urge to do something similar. I'm thinking I could put Indian heads on a lot of Conquest's marines also.
Is the peak cap of the jaegers similar to the prussian cap?

Conversion thread, excellent! I love seeing what people make, and crazy about making conversions myself too.
I did my first conversion ever to make a Mage Knight figure. I really like the original figure (Lylyth, a Privateer Press figure*), but the original has this godawful huge conehead instead of a face. So I ground it off and replaced it with some other-wise crappy MK figure's face, then tidied up the seam with a greenstuff headdress.Nice. I wouldn't have guessed it was a conversion if you hadn't said.

I love it Froggy! that is awesome. I recognize the Hinterland woman (right? those are quite cool) what is the big insect she's riding from? That's a fly demon from Reaper, sans wings.
Take another pair of legs from one of the miscast R2's:
How cute! I always loved the italian cities' flags and colours... :)
Just a minor conversion here, gave the "Pact of Wolves" Marksman the "Whirling Blades" Fronsac is using in the final battle.
Wow where did you find: the "Pact of Wolves" Marksman? Awesome model!
Very nice! do you have a link to the source of this mini? Thanks!

A real bodge-up job here.
A Panhard 1/56th Armoured Car bought direct from Tony Ashcroft when he was having a clear out at home 8). 1/48th scale Bandai radio frame (which is too high at the rear :-[ ) Toy railroad wheels and O Scale track. Tamiya PIV drive wheels as covers.

Maybe you describe it as a bodge up job but it looks nice. :-* :oThanks, I should have a train to photograph soon.
That's neat, maxxev. A robotic sea-horse!
Great posing conversions Maxxev! I'm going to remember that one.
Last conversion completed is for my Orc Blood Bowl team that I'll be taking to the West Coast Quake. It's in Las Vegas so everyone gets a zombie Elvis Impersonator for their team, but I felt Orcs would have their own, so I made an Orc Elvis...

That shoulder plate is the first thing I've ever really fully sculpted in green stuff!
Quite like this one. Is that the sword from Saint Celestine? ... and I really dig the chick ;D
Any chance of a detailed pic of the conversion (a.ka. bigger pic)?

Me as an SA investigator...
Thanks!
I know it's from a Sisters of Battle figure, but I'm not sure which one. It was a bit bigger than I wanted (I'm more typically a fan of the Tre-Manor Red-Box type sculpts), but she already has big hair, and big, well... ;)
The figure's supposed to be a big boisterous Amazon, so I think casting sobriety to the winds was fine this time anyway. :D
I'm not sure which sister the swordarm came from originally, because I just picked it up as a loose bit. She's painted now, so I'll post up larger pics soon. I just need to base her.
EDIT: Okay a Google search shows St. Celestine's sword has a wreath/bouquet of roses on it. So, no.
Cheers lads. :)
Had to bulk the hair out quite a bit to balance it out so I'm glad you all think it's worked.
Because his hair is perfect. 8)

Here is the latest conversion I have done... well apart from the one I did tonight but I don't have any photos of that one yet lol.

I LOVE the idea of using the cable stuff as hair ... consider it ... borrowed :)
von der Tann
Love the Ren.zombie faber! very effective :) -zizi's pictures don't show up for me, just see the broken image icon.
So Laughingferret, I can see the tentacle is hand made, how did the "suckers" get shaped?
Converting a Reaper Bones Minotaur:
A few details and his shield left to go. Will post those pictures when I finish him and paint him.
Eric
Latest conversion: change a dino-man spear man to be a chieftain: shield & stone axe:
Finally managed to get the last 3 Hannya-Killers done.
Here they are
Loving the conversion. Though i need to get one of the original versions still. Only thing i am having an issue with is the length of his legs. They seem not long enough. It is something i see a lot with Minotaur figures and not just this one. Maybe a pic from more of a table level if you have a sec? Thanks Grimm.
Grimm
the conversion work for my goblin king on a wyvern.
I thought it would be better with straps to secure a saddle, and functional-looking reins.
he also needed an elevated base, and he's got a banner pole- a tube at the back of the saddle that I'll be able to insert & remove the banner, for easier transport.

Nice afro on that samurai ;)
Thanks, guess what the next one will "bear" ;) lol
Before I dip my toes.... does the conversion have to be completed or can it be in stages?
Darrell.
And "Afro", for a newly started project:

I love this. Head from a reaper chronopia miniature? Where is the body from?
Hello all
After discovering this thread and seing the lovelly conversions you all made, i couldnt resist so here is my latest one.
The model is a Black Tree Design norman character that the original (on the left) had a hawk in his left arm and i´ve decided to remove it and place a shield so here is the result.
Cheers
Rui

Since theesepics were taken I've added the belt but it need to be cut off and the waist on the mini needs to be slimmer before i add the next layer of putty.....
Comsquare, lovelly ones. :-*
Nice sculping.
Wow comsquare! adding the band moving with the wind you really gave the afro-samurai feeling!
Great conversion! what kind/brand of green stuff do you use?
Nice. The pipe is sculpted around a piece of wire?
Blood Bowl Team Manager; Sven Gorcan Erikson Cheesy
Just converted this Footsore miniatures Bors (I thought it was Tristan, but Bill put me right) to look more Viking than Arthurian

Eric
Well done Aircav and Eric.
That Bors look great.
And that indian looks savage enough. :)
Hello quite new to the site but saw this thread and thought ye might want to see something I converted for frostgrave, it's a plastic Perry knight that I worked in a bit of a dark souls theme on.
Nice. What was the original figure? Guy with an axe?
hey guy,
From Bulldozer (Heroclix stock), with a running pose quite perfect for the savage look i like to give to my barbarians
(https://c2.staticflickr.com/4/3952/32997345450_7f43befb3a_z.jpg)

Indeed.
My latest one.

Some great stuff in this thread and a lot time since I contributed to it....

To remedy that, here are a few Eldar done a while ago....
