Anyone have any experience with it? The artwork caught my attention and as we're introducing more RPGs in our weekly game nights, I'd like to bring it to the table.

Very fun game, translates easily to the table top. Wrote up an adventure and am borrowing figs from anywhere and everywhere. Always open to suggestions but this is some of what I've got color on so far:

Your minis look fantastic!
I have been tempted by Symbaroum just to see the artwork and read the fluff. How crunchy is it to play compared to D&D?
-
Thanks.
I've found the rules much smoother, simpler. There are plenty of good reviews already out there if you want an in-depth look, but the three long-time D & D players in our group all really like Symbaroum. They say it's not built for rules lawyers or just to loot and level. (Rampage of the Murderous, Kleptomaniac Hoboes)
As a long-time war gamer, I was worried about combat, but there again, it was very easy to transfer the action to the table top. IMO, the rules are very sturdy and versatile. Not too many - just enough to hang a good adventure on. And the dark fantasy aesthetic/backstory is rich with potential.

Latest session: The party makes their way to the Lone Gate. They meet some interesting characters along the way, some they trade with, others they kill.

Final Act of The Gloaming Roads as our adventurers arrive at the Bastion of Kal'Nohr deep in Dark Davokar, and a spectacular fumble by the Ogre awakens the slumbering guardians.

Great looking figures and terrain.

At the time of release, there was some negative press about political views held by the writer so I passed on it back then, but the game itself appears to be very pretty and rich in lore.
Then the question you will always get when posting images of miniatures online. Where is the winged guardian figure from?

Looks like one of the Golem Arcana figures. Superb source of unusual Elemental themed monsters.

Ah, you are correct. I'm thinking it might be very well suited for use as a giant monster/kaiju!

That it would, I think they were nominally 1/200 scale (some have little pilot figures driving them) but they size up well against Battletech and Mekton models.

Really? Man, I missed the boat on this game. Though I guess I might snatch up some cheap miniatures with it being pretty much defunct nowadays.

In preparation for upcoming SYMBAROUM sessions I painted up some of CMON's Ranger Hunters and Sworn Brothers.
I'm not playing the GoT game but these are perfect for NPCs, Song of Blades and Heroes figs, Sellswords and Spellslingers... Or the new Rangers of the Shadow Deep perhaps?

Our Symbaroum campaign is coming to a close.
Our heroes have been ordered to resupply a series of remote outposts and reinforce a frontier fortress.
Does anything ever go as planned?
