Well, one elf at the moment. Not much of an empire but it's a start. Got a handful of Alternative Armies Crystal Elf Empire (https://www.alternative-armies.com/collections/crystal-elf-empire) figures recently and this is the first one painted up. He's a dragoon and I have another two to do before moving onto some garde and a spell casting duo. Only took me 27 years to get around to getting some of these models!

OMG I've seen those on their site and thought they looked a bit Meh.. but with a paint job like that it looks like a superb mini can't wait to see to see more of them painted.

There are some really nice models in the range and I don't think the pics always do them justice. I did my own ham fisted review of the models I got over on my blog (https://stonecoldlead.blogspot.com/2018/09/alternative-armies-crystal-elf-empire.html). The pics might show them in a better light.

If you look under AA's Flintloque Elves of Armorica range there's a pack of Grenadiers of the Garde I think they're called. They're armed with muskets and were originally from this range before being absorbed into Flintloque. Might be useful to you.

Slow going but I've added another painted elf to the warband. A swordsman or duellist with an Elric inspired paint job.

OUTSTANDING! The Elvin Lads, especially the Albino Duelist, are BEAUTIFULLY painted creations. VERY WELL DONE!

I thought they bore a resemblance to French Dragoons, but the Retro SciFi vibe is strong as well...definite potential here.

Yep there'll be more. Got an elf Garde spearman on the go and plan to do a couple more plus a sorceress for this initial batch. I do have a handful of duellists (not actually on the AA website but available upon request) and there should be a whole bunch of stuff turning up this week sometime, mostly cavalry. Given my slow output though don't expect anything beyond the Garde and sorceress yet though. ;)

Stunning work, and just shows the quality of those figures,
I did not like them much at first, but once you start putting some paint on them you start to realize how much better they look in paint rather than without.
They really are nice figures, but wow, I can't get that good a coat of paint on them!

Yeah, I picked up an old (new) copy on Ebay not too long ago. There's a couple of packs of rather nice duellists to go with it too. The book is currently OOP but keep an eye out next year. ;)

Awesome. Well, I will. I painted a couple and will try find them. Maybe in like 1997. But never really played. It could probably do with an Alessio Calvatore treatment and re-release frankly. Remember themedhnaics being a little cumbersome and mathematical. But may be wrong.

I think it got set back due to other releases and of course this year has impacted AA's ability to move forwards with some things.
