Title: "Let's go!"
Post by: Harry Faversham on November 25, 2018, 03:06:25 PM
"Why not?"

I've just gleaned the Brigade Games Wild Bunch Set, very impressively animated figures, they capture the 'walk' to the last stand perfectly... in my 'umble opinion.
What they don't capture in any way shape or form, and this is unforgivable, is the proper Wild Bunch look. They're all carrying Winchesters, Pike's got no shoulder holster and Dutch no haversack... unforgivable!!!
I've tickled 'em up a tad and my blokes now look like the legends they're supposed to be...

"We want Angel!"

I'm after a 28mm tripod mounted machine gun for our Crimbo wargame, it's proving harder to find, than I first thought.

Copplestone Castings has a couple of tripod-mounted machine guns.  None are an exact match but the Turkish one is reasonably close

:'( Close but no ceegar!  :'(
What I'm kind of envisioning for the Crimbo Wargame is the Wild bunch walking into the square full of Mapache's overhung scumbags and starting the ball. We'll be using FFofL, so Pike and his bunch can open fire first action, then storm the table mounted MG in their second.
What we need is a MG that comes as a separate casting to the crew. It doesn't need to be 100% period accurate (so long as it's not got a fluted barrel cover) as the one in the film wasn't.

true they aren't perfect but with a bit of green stuff you can "give 'em hell!"

Pulp miniatures, available from Northstar,Savage Sea range.
Part of a pack but may be of use, looks like the one in the movie :)
Not on a tripod but could be converted?
Worth asking in the Bazaar if anyone has a spare?
Good luck :)

Here’s the castings after tickling up with shotguns, shoulder holster strap for Pike and haversack for Dutch.

We put on a wild bunch game at Derby one year.
They had to rescue Angel then get to a train that was pulling away at a station.
Lots of recycled mexican soldiers and a few more of the wild bunch to put up a fight. Worked well

That's a good idea, might add Deke Thornton's motley crew of bounty hunters to the final showdown... give Mapache's lads more Gringos to shoot at!
