Title: Mansions of Madness a Review
Post by: Abwehrschlacht on January 12, 2019, 09:25:02 AM
Mansions of Madness has been available in it's second edition for a while now and having played it quite a lot recently I have written a review for those who may not know the game. It's like an RPG-Lite crossed with a board game and has tons of atmosphere for those that like Cthulhu themed games. Have a read of the review here:

Very comprehensive review, thank you! I'm seriously tempted to get this one. Are you aware of any list stating which monsters appear in the game (and its supplements, if possible)? The only thing my searches bring up are Boardgamegeek pdfs which require membership to open. The reason I ask is that this game gets my painting fingers twitching: I prefer metals to plastic, and love relatively small, focused projects like this. Any guidance would be much appreciated!

If it helps, the critters I'd love to tackle are:

Deep Ones
Mi-Go
Ghouls
Hounds of Tindalos
Great Race of Yith
Sand Dwellers
Night Gaunts

The usual suspects, really. Deity types would be fun too: Cthulhu, Nyarlathotep, Tsuthoggua

Here's tour list with the expansion where you can find them

Deep Ones - base game 2n edition
Mi-Go - Recurring nightmares
Ghouls - not yet
Hounds of Tindalos - Recurring nightmares
Great Race of Yith  - not yet
Sand Dwellers  - not yet
Night Gaunts - Suppressed memories

Cthulhu, Nyarlathotep, Tsuthoggua - not yet, and I don't think these will be added. They don't fit the game IMHO.

This might be helpful:

It looks like the poster listed the investigators and monsters for each set, and included links to the figures he has painted.

That's exactly what I was looking for, Rhydderch! Somehow my Google-fu didn't turn that up. Can't thank you enough!
