Our Christmas game this year was a bit different, 1798 Ireland layed to the basic rules from Risk!
Images and write up on the blog https://gapagnw.blogspot.com/2019/01/risk-1798-game-for-xmas.html

A novel take on the 1798 Rebellion and good going to get a campaign done in a morning! Great looking miniatures. Thanks for sharing.

Great looking game and interesting idea! I'd like to see a map of the table. What tactical rules were you using?
-
Rules taken directly from the board game risk. I will see if I can get a plan to share.

Novel idea for a game, those Trent figures are lovely!! Really looks like it was a lot of fun. :)

Nice figures, scenery & friends. What is not to like.

Great idea. Are you able to share a map/ table layout and the rules please. Forming ideas for a War of 1812 campaign in a similar vein.
Great write up, looked a lot of fun!

Just like you said. I had to hear it twice. Thank you.

Hi Guys
I added the scenario and basic mechanism sheets plus a plan of the game onto the blog, you should be able to download but if not give me a shout.

Cheers really helpful as wasn’t sure if artillery represented 5 dice, cavalry 3 etc. Great idea!

Very nice. May try this using totally incorrect figures: Vendee rebels and war of 1812 militia, woodland Indians as rebel skirmishers, and Waterloo British.

Whatever works, esecially if its to test the mechanisms.
