Title: 1930's Fire Engine. (Or cereal packet nonsense in Red.)
Post by: tin shed gamer on March 14, 2019, 07:54:04 PM
I'm spending my spare moments revisiting/remaking old ideas. As I need to get my 'eye in' for a new cunning plan in April.
This time it's the idea of a Pulp friendly fire engine .
Pretty much stumped as to what else I can add ,other than here's some pictures .
Mark.

A fire engine made from paper would be a risky ride for the fire fighters, I guess...  :D
Excellent job! I love it.  :-*

I don't see an issue as long as the fire stays below 451°F.  ;)

Marvellous work, and the ladder in particular must be one of your finest pieces to date.

That is an impressive build and paintjob, and lacks only a faithful hound/mascot (dalmatian, or other). Great stuff!

I'm glad you like it.
It is pushing it a bit by calling it a 1930's engine. As its actually a 50's one .Hower it just looks more In keeping with the look of the table I'm slowly putting together (emphasis on the slowly ::) )
Chris.
The ladder was surprisingly easy
Literally everything went right first touch. ( the Windows fought back every step of the way.)
It's been useful a test/ refresher piece. As I'm about half way through a master for a Morris commercial F fire engine.( TSG butterfly logic; I'll make a card fire engine - needs a crew- I'll do a crew - might as well double check the uniform- Google-30's pics - oooh Shiny- sidetracked-halfway through master.Couldn't just stick to a card one and say job done. Next project . no i turn it into a saga. ;D)
Was very tempted to do a 'F 451'number plate. But the logic nearly kicked in and I'd have got sidetracked building book bonfires ! Then flame throwers...
Oooh there might be game in that!

Bloody Hell, that’s a bit good 👍👍👍👍
It absolutely amazes me what you can do with an old cereal packet.

I have a vision of a horde of kids chained to a table consuming bowls full of coco pops and gradually developing type 2 diabetes.

Fab work.

On average two boxes a week. Five kids( three have moved out but are always on a fridge raid) and the occasional short term fostering.
These size projects are easily achived from a single box. The small single engine plane I did recently actually left enough card from one box to make a second plane.( one the fokker tri motor thread.)
Only roof tiles and the vsf spaceship have been really heavy on card . But once your neighbors lean your using cereal packet card you can find yourself inundated hense the sudden flood of builds :D
