Hello Ladies and Gents
Long time follower of the forum. And think now with my new project . It is a good time to start my own thread !
Project is based loosely on actions around the Ardennes campaign/ operation nordwind etc . Thanks
-
Welcome aboard! That‘s some magnificient painting indeed.
-
Nice paint job.
Are you going for a skirmish campaign, or something involving a lot of 'stuff'?
-
Welcome!
That really is some great painting! I am looking very much forward to seeing more. :)
-
Thanks guys for the warm welcome .
I am planning with a more skirmish scale sized project ATM. And build up to platoon size in time .
Will concentrate on a few squads and get my terrain project back on the go . Hopeing this forum gives me the motivation I am packing ATM .
Thanks again guys !
-
Nice work.
So what are you using for rules?
-
Rules I have been using are the ww2 edition of "some corner of a foreign field". Which was available by morning star games.
Empress miniatures brought the rights and released the modern version as danger close .
Which they are playtesting to add vehicles etc.
Currently looking at other rule sets but dosent seem to be much in the way for ww2 skirmish . Only at platoon level .
-
A few in game pics. Was from a game a while back . Bolt action I think .
Using some older figs in collection .
-
Cracking! Makes me cold just looking at them.
-
Black & white, as well as the lower angle, really make the photos zing.
-
Great figures and excellent photos.
Hope to see more.
Also, a big welcome to the Forum.
-
Couple more older pictures .
Currently working on another Rubicon Sherman .
Chopped and converted crew. Just needs a bit of clay work
-
Wow, very nice work! :-*
-
Great photos and great looking figs!
-
Nice work, and that Panther photograph is great.
-
I love your take on winter cam for the armour.
-
Thanks for all the nice comments guys !
-
I love your take on winter cam for the armour.
Thanks . My idea was to make it appear as a rushed paint job with some old sweeping brushes etc. As read about it from a german tank crew using mops to apply the whitewash.
Think I may do a similar approach to my 75mm Sherman 🤔
-
Been working on more scatter terrain lately . Pics up when have them more completed . Decided to take a bit of a break from figure painting .
But in the meantime
-
Fantastic painting as usual! Those scatter elements look really nice as well!
-
Fabulous! Keep it coming! :-*
-
Nice, did you make that pull of bricks?
-
Nice, did you make that pull of bricks?
No . I did not . A friend of mine cast some as a test and gave me the two piles.
I believe the original model is available from spectre operations website . That's all I can tell you mate.
Hope it helps !
-
Thanks!
-
A bit of slow progress this week .
Few more scatter bits finished. Waiting for glue to dry .
-

Hi Aavayro!
Have a look at Toofatlardies' "Chain of Command".
Cracking set of rules! And well supported by dedicated campaigns and on the forum.

Hello .
He is one of thr original bolt action miniatures. Before they was brought out by warlord games.
In other news been working on more terrain bits. Fig painting has been a bit slow of late . With real life and summer sun .
-
Decided tio make a start on some battle scale ruins.
Got these as a pre order . Great kit and very nicely cast .
Have lifted the model a little . And added a few warlord games rubble piles. Have blended the rubble piles into the base
Added a mattress a mate cast up .
Also been working on some Perry plastics . Converting them by adding empress heads . Will work on helmets soon
-
Very nice indeed. Watching this thread with interest.

A tiny bit of progress . Still working on some converted Perry plastics .
Yet to brave getting back into figure painting .
So have been on the terrain painting front.

Really brilliant stuff! That ruin is such a lovely bit of terrain and your photography makes it look even more realistic! I hope you get the chance to paint more miniatures soon as well, those Perry conversions really look very promising already :o
-
Very good, the first two photographs are very atmospheric.
