Title: Och Aye the Noo
Post by: Cameronian on May 25, 2019, 10:52:15 AM
:D Long term military modelling fan and reformed gamer who now just expands old armies and adds the occasional new one.  Periods of interest from 1500BC to the Cold War as well as Fantasy and Sci-Fi. Scales 10mm to very occasionally 90mm in plastic, metal or resin. Small scale sailing ships are a more recent addition.

I will endeavour to post some things here and there.

Ah hah! A living example of the 'No True Scotsman' fallacy. Since no true Scotsman has ever said 'Och aye the noo' unless imitating Harry Lauder.

*(Fun fact: when Okhai took over the Keiller's Marmalade business in Dundee, the slogan on the vans was 'Okhai the Noo')

Welcome aboard ye ken.

Welcome from a long term wargamer (and another Scot) who has found this place a source of inspiration and assistance and who is sure that you will enjoy being here.  A warning though - it can become addictive.

The posts have been of random stuff I already had pics for, new stuff will be a bit more scarce I'm afraid.

Banchory? Aye weel. it's a bonnie part of the warld. Eh'm here in the land of pehs, staring cross the bridge at the Kingdom, and later today - off to Kirrie to play. Do you get down to Carronade and the  other conventions?

Bonnie Dundee, must get down there and have a look at the V&A. I've done the rounds in the past, I think Targe was the last one I was at.  The bigger shows seem to be a bit too populist now with all the vendors selling more or less the same flavour of the month stuff.

May your dice be ever supportive.

Cheers,
George

That's what I like: a fellow who carefully focuses on one, slim 3500 year period of history and devotes all his time, money, and effort to it.   :D
