Does anyone make them - a priest type figure and the bull being slaughtered? I'm interested in having them for a baggage base for ancients.
-
Unfortunately the best one, and only one I'm aware of was made by Bears Den Miniatures but itis no longer made.
Below is a picture of the vignette.

The vignette is nice.
For a Greco-Roman version I suppose all you would need though would be a bull (greenstuff a wreath/garlands for its head) being led by a civilian. Then you'd want to have a priest or officer standing next to it with a sword or knife at the ready.

@Mad Gadgeteer- let's see more of that scene/collection, please!

Sadly those are not my minis, they belong to an internet friend.
The following link will take you to his blog entry showing these. Be sure to check out his entire blog, it's filled with a bunch of beautifully made Biblical minis!! Look real close and you'll find the vignette my avatar pic came from.

A ha! I already follow Chariot Gamer, but hadn't seen that set. I was hoping there was another fan of Cutting Edge minis actively working out there...

I'm a fan of theirs as well. Unfortunately I think CG has fallen in love with those CP miniatures. They are really nice, yet they are a lot bigger than Cutting Edge's as is mentioned in the last post.

I'm guessing that's Mithras?

Yup.

It might be something Phil Hynes would be willing to sculpt if demand is big enough ). He certainly would be the right man to do something like that :).

I'd get one, especially if it was Mithras. It would offer a simple way to use my Arthurians for some Bernard Cornwell-inspired Of Gods and Mortals or SAGA Age of Magic.

Mithras? I'm sold! :).

Well it's not a bull, but the new Roman warband rules from Warlord come with a priest making a sacrifice.

Might do at a pinch?

That's quite nice. A bit more versatile than the Foundry one of a Spartan doing the same.

I use this for my Trojan War games, Foundry Spartan w a plume swap.

Working on a bull sacrifice set right now, Eureka priest and a bull plastic toy.

Good idea !
Re-Animator approved ;) ;)
