Not making it easy for us, are you?

Zorro wins again to fight another adventure!
Hi Guys, this was a tough choice. I do like the way the BCW miniatures were painted.

Good work, both of you! It was close, but even though the Fox has always had a place for me the revolutionaries won it for me.
-
I just wish we had a little better view of Zorro himself.
-
It would have been humorous had I had sufficient time to paint my intended Malamute figures. :)
-
Oh heck, tough Monday today!
Grand show again - all that's missing from the revolution is a butler with a drinks trolley 8) 8) 8)

Lovely stuff. :-* :-*
I was about to say no scobby then I noticed him. Blue tack? lol
-
A tough choice, so a tough week starts and the new round in LPL is difficult.
-
Nice work Ray. :-*
Scooby is indeed very well hidden this time… 8)
The funny thing about this entry is that I was thinking of doing something very similar for round 10… :'( :? lol

Me too... especially since it's entitled "Zorro." :? Believe me I tried and tried but in the end I just couldn't come up with the right combo. A zoomed in shot of Zorro, for example, got the blue black I used on Zorro himself to come out nicely, but it didn't leave me enough room to do justice to the Vaqueros. In the end, I had to make a compromise and at least the shot I submitted was good enough to get the brown black I used on Zorro's horse to come out fairly well. Not sure of the problem here... the white background may have been a factor. Or perhaps I was just a bit too subtle.
I'll post some closeups of Zorro after the competition is closed.

Play-Doh! :D

Both great entries. :)

Beautiful entries!
Mancha, what can you tell us about the car? scale and manufacturer?

It's a Franklin Mint car, and has the pouncing jaguar on the front. Beyond this information, I can't help you much. Isn't coming up on eBay.
Woops, here's an interesting link:

And here's another picture, about halfway down the page:

Come on...this one is just as hard to choose as the last entry I voted on....WOW!! Great job to you both!!

Ray,
Cracking stuff on The Fox and the Presidiales. :-*
Apologies for being late in my response. ;)

Well done, Mancha!
Congratulations on the win. >:(

Oh, is it over? Whew. While I was ahead for most of the week, it was impressive how the difference stayed consistently at about ten votes. As I told you in a private message, if we could have made out Zorro, you would have won for sure. I appreciate that it was sort of an impossible photo though. Maybe this would have been a good time to have an inset of Zorro by himself?
-
I tried to get an inset, but I just couldn't work a good photo cause I need a fairly large Zorro to see the details. Perhaps an inset of just Zorro himself, not the whole figure... ???
Bah... I pressured myself to do a good Zorro and though he looks great in my hand... :'(
Anyway, congratulations, nice figures. :)
