Hi all,
it's been a long time since I wanted to join this wonderful community and I guess now is the right moment !
To introduce myself shortly, my name's Alex, I'm a 25 years old French miniatures/wargaming/military history enthusiast (currently living in the Vallée de la Loire). I very much prefer working on 28mm, plastic or metal, and I'm still to try some greenstuffing (one day...).
I plan on sharing with you several projects of mine including a late HYW Lion Rampant one I'm currently working on. In the future, I hope to be able to start a Napoleonic project (waiting for the new Perry's plactic kits). As of huge fan of the Twins, most (if not all) of my miniatures will be from Perry Miniatures.
So, without further ado, to those of you who may have read this rather uninspired introduction, I say see you on my threads (and others) !
Salutations !
Alex

Alex Grim? That's an auspicious name to begin on LAF with. (Those are the names of two prominent LAFers from its illustrious history. Anybody seen Grimm lately?)
Welcome! I was in the Loire valley recently. Lovely place. I must have missed you. :)

He was over in the UK a few months ago for a rockabilly weekender at Camber Sands - I tried to organise taxis for he and his group from Gatwick, although not sure he used my chaps in the end...

Rockabilly weekender? That sounds like him. Good old Grimm. :)

Well didn't want to rob anyone of it's LAF identity... :-X
It is indeed a lovely place, with loads of Medieval and Renaissance castles :)

Don't worry, like I said, I think it is a good omen. :) Speaking of those castles, I was clambering around the one at Chinon a short time ago.

Oh I've always found this castle intriguing, must be the fact that the story of Johan of Arc truly begins here ; and also the strange drawings carved in the stone of the tower's jail, made by the grand master of the Templars...

Bonjour Matt et merci,
I'm mainly interested in Late Medieval, Renaissance (and pretty much all the "Pike&shotte" period) and Napoleonic.
Les Pays de La Loire, très joli aussi ! I would like to visit Mont Saint-Michel again someday and Fougères :)
