Five years ago, I saw Spacejacker's city tiles and wanted to build a tiny town where tiny hazmat-suited soldiers could fight tiny zombies, so I made an order to Khurasan and bought everything needed ...and some sci-fi stuff.
It ended up being sci-fi that caught my interest and became my main focus. But once upon a time it was the zombies that got me here...

Really nothing special, Andrew. A wooden plate with a mixture of brown acrylic paint and sand (two layers). Then a quick treatment with some granite texture spray (nearly nothing).

I think I have a small debate in my head about playing surfaces right now as I'm developing some new tabletops. I've been asking lots of people what they use and how they made it. The Battle of Henderson Ville
A solo game of Fistful of Lead - Galactic Heroes

The NSL wants to state an example on the Rebels hiding in the war-torn remains of the small town Henderson. The Marines' mission is to kill the Rebel's Leader who has proven herself as being a thread for the NSL's supply lines.
The Rebels on the other hand want to kill at least one of the armored Marines to loot their equipment and to send a motivating sign to other resistance groups.

FFOL is an excellent set of rules, my absolute favourite by a long shot. The card activation is one of the best mechanics I have played in a small scale skirmish game, simple but with so many tactical options. Well worth the investment. :)

How do they measure up to the Khurasan Raiders? I've heard that the HOF SFA troops are a bit on the large side, compared to other 15mm miniatures.

(I don't know if I've already said this, but your campaign and storytelling are great, love that comic book style!)

I've been thinking about ordering some stuff from Khurasan, but they are really, really small. They would look like children. I've got a set of Loud Ninja Games' post apocalyptic raiders, I'll paint them first...

The SFA Troopers are a bit big, but in the role as enhanced peacekeepers, I like them!

Great Batrep. Terrain fit the bill perfectly! Not every encounter is a walk in the park, that is for sure. Sometimes it is just as well to mark off a place on the map with a big red X.
