Now I just need to persuade my wife to join me on a trip to your hotel.Me too! :D
Nice painting on those models. Now I just need to persuade my wife to join me on a trip to your hotel. The homepage looks amazing - even if I hadn’t found the wargaming subpage!
The idea was to be a relaxing destination for the partners, with the added option of regional history tours, battlefield tours and wargaming as add ons.
We have a lot of great medieval Châteaus all around us every 8 to 12 Klm, Mayenne (Maine) was the border between Normandy and Brittany.
Shaping up into quite a collection. You certainly turn them out fast :o
Lovely work!

Absolutely lovely work :)
:o :o How could I have missed this thread!
Congratulations, very well done!
Bretons 5th-11th C. is a long amount of time, they would look different from beginning to end. Also they probably didn't look "barbarian" at the beginning, more like so-called arthurians. There is some mention of them cutting their hair in the early period.
Painting plaid on my lords this week, a great photo from my wife Vanessa tonight!

I think you have got the [plaid down to a "T" Matt.
I love those Impetus base styles too as it leaves so much open to the imagination in terms of vignettes and basing :)
Nice one Matt.
Top stuff Matt :-*
That looks lovely.
Great thread Matt, look forward to seeing your progress :)
Great stuff Matt. Hope one day to get to visit your place, and see these in the 'flesh'.
More lovely work Matt.
How big is this army now?
Any chance of an army to date photo? :)
Still not big enough!!!! Four more units for the early period, and six more for the later, plus more skirmishers.
Another unit of Skirmishers complete for my later dark ages army

heading off to paint HYW medieval this weekend.
Goodly work Matt :-*
How many bases have you got completed now?
I think around 25 all up, but Domnonée itself has about 14 of them, the rest is part of my later Anjou-Maine and Breton armies.
