Rich H. Kindly made some wheels and simplified wheel arches for me.He sent me a number of mis prints of wheel arches So rather than see hard work go to waste. I've repurposed and re worked them into this first musing.( the ones in the pictures are mis prints.)
It's not perfect it still needs showing who's boss as there's a few school boy errors.( partly becaus I've been working from a tray in the living room in bad light. But mainly because I'm an idiot.)

Wow! :o
-
Looks good 😊
-
Oh, I really like that, can we have some BEF to go with it, please?
-
More loveliness, given that it has the possibility of an open top, will the windows/windscreen be open (so you can see inside)?
-
Brilliant! I will drill my windows open.👍
-
I'm glad you like the concept I've gone back and tweaked the windscreen. It wasn't supposed to be a production master just a musing using mis prints to iorn out any issues before making more.
But since you like it I'll see if Simon will cast it(I'll have to back fill void etc first.) So I've knocked up a driver and the lights and front bumper. I'll find some time to knock up at least one other character for the back seat .I know one member has sent a pic of themselves propped up against something similar. So it seems rude not to prop them against this.
As for removing the windows.the rear passenger doors are a doddle. The front windows and windscreen are a little more time consuming but possible.(if you start with the windscreen. Then do the side windows. As the inside is a vertical.(and the exterior of the windscreen is on a diagonal.
So there's a right angle triangle of material to remove.Which is easier to tackle from the windscreen then the side windows.
-
With everyone asking about removing windows to see the interior.
I thought I might as well make it worth while. So tonight I've made an Officer as a passenger and a set of seat filler .( tin hat, gas mask .and a .303 ).
So that's pretty much it for this one.
Next is a taxi.
-
Now you are just spoiling us! Superb, really grateful. Top Notch . 👍
-
Fantastic! I definitely would not say no to having that kit in my collection.
-
It gets better and better 😊
-
Nice.
-
It would be good if the set of seat filler (tin hat, gas mask and a .303 ) were available separately as they have a hundred and one uses.
-
It looks fantastic :o
-
What about having the windscreen open as well? I always found that was a useful feature on my 1946 Morris 8 when there was fog or smog about and it is a very distinctive "look" on cars of this era.
Doug
-
That is absolutely cracking.
-
It appears fools seldom differ. lol
As everyone seems to want to remove the windows .I've tweaked the windscreen so its easier to remove (although the windscreen tab is roughly 2mm thick as it'll help with moulding continuity.)So Doug can have his raised windscreen.

The car is brilliant, Brit. motors always have a particular style,I am biased ;)
The mini by the car is great, much character 8)
-
Great stuff Mark - looking forward to slapping paint on them 8)
-
Blackwolf,
I'm glad you like the figure.
Jon,
I thought you might want to through some paint at it.Have a word with Simon there's a Mr&Mrs civillian motorcycle combo thats been sat in a mould. Since the Police combo .(He keeps forgetting to release it. ;D).
Right finished the tweaking. You can now cut out the majority of the windows or leave them in. With out it looking odd.
So what started as just a musing will be dropped off with Simon at Partizan to be cast after the show.

Far be it from me to be picky about such excellent work, but on that last picture, the view from the front, it looks like the bonnet ridge has a curve in it and isn't centered on the windscreen? Optical illusion?
-
lol its an optical illusion( I've gone back and checked.
;))
-
loving the AA badge
-
Just need Rich to have more misprints that you can make into cool things!
-
Terrific! 👍
-
I received the first casting in this mornings post(technically this afternoon but thats the postal service these days).
I took on board as many of your suggestions as practicable and this is pretty much the end result ( until I've managed to throw some paint at it.)
-
:-* now that is impressive
-
Looks fantastic.
-
Brilliant .......when can we buy them? :P
-
That’s brilliant!
-
I'm glad you like the car. I've managed to get it undercoated yesterday .Even if I do say so myself it's tied the parts together nicely.
As for a release date .You'll have to ask Simon and Mick.I honestly don't know.I would have thought it'd be at Fiasco at the end of the month. I've just to chuck paint at this one as it's likely to end up as the advertising and website image.(Unless Dag's and Sabot.get their first.)
I'll be popping over to see Simon and Mick next week.To pick up the master to rework into a hard top version(drop in roof panel. So you can still chop the windows out and have a crew visible.
-
Looks good!
-
Gots to get meself at least one of them beeyooties.
-
Sorry for the delay in chucking paint at it as I'm a little under the weather at the mo.
Here's a rather bright paint job rather than the olive drab of the rest of the vehicles.Just to hint at a privately painted car.
-
Nice.
-
I like it... a lot :D
-
Like the addition of the AA badge :-*
-
Lovely work Mark.
-
Top job mate 8)
-
Love it! The open windows and small details are a really nice addition! Can't wait to get one :-*
-
Simply spiffing old chap! :-*
-
I'm glad you like it .
There's a couple of detailing compromises that bug me as its designed to be built straight out of the box with windows intact and with side windows and windscreen cut away.Whilst having a clean interior mould plug with minimal under cuts .So certain things had to give.
Niggles aside I'll be able to tweak the master into several other vehicles .Including the obvious hard top and full soft top. Plus a utility and an estate .Mind you there's not really a need for all of them.
-
Need? :o
When did NEED come into any of this!!!
-
Fabulous :D love the car club badges above the radiator. Looks a bit like an Alvis front end, but I assume it's just made up design?
EC
-
It's a hybrid of the most common cars .As there's very little in it between the top four saloons especially at a distance.
Plus they all made tillies and estates.
Katie .
Need comes in on the side of time and money neither of which I have much of. lol

Forgive my ignorance, but where will this lovely car be on sale?
Thanks
-
I believe they will be on sale from 1st Corps when finished.

Thanks :)
-
There is a chance that they'll have some a Fiasco but I don't know for certain. Also there's a sub category 'Home front.' Which they may get to popped into.
I've sent Simon some temporary pictures to use on Facebook so I don't think it'll be that long before it surfaces.
Mark.
-
Terrific 👍
-
They look very good, what scale are these cars 1/56 or 1/48?
-
I guess 1/48.
-
1st Corps would be 1/48.
I gave generally been doing the larger stuff in 1/56 and smaller in 1/48, it seems to work, but I stupidly bought a 1/56 sdkfz 250 and put it next to some BTD Motorcycles.
