Excellent work both of you. Pil, your take on the hunters is what did it for me. Excellent work on the black pants, and the pygmies are cool too.

Great paint job on the dino Pil! Also, I voted for your entry 'cause it reminds me of 'Flesh' from 2000ad comix. Loved that when I was a kid. love your entry now.

If there is any justice you will get full bonus points for your brilliant entry.

Ditto! Nice work on the Dino Pil! Your Dino paint job and mine are very similar, is the Dino lead? My T-Rex weighs about 1 and a half pounds! I had a tough time painting him as the handling was rubbing off the paint as I worked!

Great entries but the riot was my favourite. Where are those mini´s from?

Brigade, if I am not mistaken. There could be some Blue Moon or WW in there to.

Two great entries.
But I am afraid that the dino wins it for me. Great paint job. :-*
I love the way you have achieved your bonus. Very original when all of the other players have went for the traditional pulp/historical explorers, myself included. Great stuff.

The Riot miniatures are actually West Wind figures- not expensive and full of character- well worth going for as they always paint up well. Rapscallion.

The shield and dinosaur paint scheme is fantastic. The figures are stunning. Well done!!

Moriaty and crew look good, but appear a bit shiny...is it the flash and lighting or is it a gloss coat??

Thanks for the kind words all! Rapscallion, I really like your rioters, the models are lovely and the paintjob is great as usual!

Poliorketes> they are plastic Compat Zone troopers. The heavy weapons are converted heavy weapons from the heavy weapons arms for the same models, the assault rifles are from Warzone Plastics (the assault rifles that come with the troopers don't look very good) and the leader has metal arms and a metal head from Trooper leader 0018:

The plastics (and metal arms) are available here:

Vonkluge> the dinosaur is a Ral Partha model from 1982, it's lead but not as heavy as yours ;)

Thank you very much!

I undercoated in grey, then I painted the body first: VGC Earth for the top and VGC Bone for the belly, in between I blended the two together.

I painted the plates Citadel (old) Ruby Red and painted red stripes over the body as well. I blended the red stripes with the body colour. I then washed the whole body with Citadel Gryphonne Sepia Wash.

Between the red stripes I painted dark stripes with Citadel Badab Black Wash.

On the scales I painted lighter spots and edges with Citadel (old) Blazing Orange and then Citadel Sunburst Yellow. I painted the inside of the spots black. Then I painted horns and nails and such black with VGC Earth/Bone highlights.

It was a real pain to put together though! All those scales are separate so it's 23 parts in total. Luckily I had already assembled it long before the league and it had been waiting for a paintjob forever 8)

Nice entries guys!

The stegosaurus looks awesome Pil. I really like the colours you used. As well as the pygmees by the way, they looks stunning! Great to see a part of our gift painted :)

Pil, this sure is your best entry so far. The dinosaur pops so much, it's almost the king of pop (okay, that was a terrible pun). The colors work perfectly and it draws your eye to the photo. Perfect choice of colors. The same goes for the commercial hunters. Although I think their clothes are a bit odd for hunters, they work well as a elite security force and their weapons are ace. Especially the dart gun (at least, that's what I think it is) looks cool. The pygmees are awesome and made me chuckle with their funny looks.

I was surprised by the riot. Never expected something like this for round 10. So bravo for such an original entry. I like the enormous variety in miniatures and colors. It makes it a treat to look at. I do think that a matt varnish will help with the gloss.
