What started out as an experiment using a cheap Armourfast Cromwell to try a method for making camouflage netting, eventually turned into a bit of distraction and a full build and paint job. This was mainly because I was so pleased with the results with the netting and so it seemed a shame not to finish the model off. Here are some pictures and I've put together a step by step tutorial of the build here https://thetacticalpainter.blogspot.com/2019/08/172-cromwell-with-camouflage-netting.html

Excellent work! The attention to detail and the final result are really inspiring! Thank you for the tutorial :-*

Lovely finish. I rather like that. Wish you had written the blogpost before I painted my 1/56 Cromwell though :)

Very nice work on that.
Nice painting as well.
Coincidentally, I have just got round to almost finishing painting a PSC Cromwell with Greenstuff netting I started in January 2018.

Woah, looks great!

That looks pretty awesome! I cheated by buying the burlap replacement turret for my 1:48 Cromwell from eBay.
