Recently I started a project of printing off knights, skeletons, and fanatasy foxmen on my Prusa 3d printer. I found the talented Ilhadiel on thingiverse.com and started from there. Since I want to pass these on to my grandkids when they get older (oldest is 4 right now) I decided to go big. These are about the size of Schleich knights. I also went with basic block painting, not just for the ease but also to keep to the toy image. Being toys I print in fast mode, favoring speed over quality. Here a few of the results. Lots of pics at my webgallelry http://www.joxash.org/gallery2/index.php/Toy-Knights (http://www.joxash.org/gallery2/index.php/Toy-Knights)

Interesting project. Would be great to see the before and after photos of the figures.
If 3D printing becomes ubiquitous then it might change miniatures gaming for good!
Thanks
