Recently finished painted this figure of the London Scottish regiment. Poppies added for setting the Flanders theme.

Nice painting, also a nice idea with the poppies. I have a question about the uniform color.
Isn't the khaki too dark ? I confess, I am not sure about the British uniform colours in WW1. :)

Thank You :)
Both the British and German uniform color has been an uncertain area for me. One would think that less colorful uniforms are a easier matter, I've changed my mind about that lol The khaki like the Field Grey varied much in hue. And a source of endless discussion. Looking at all the variety I just settle for what I feel look right and is authentic. For ww1 Germans I've settled on a plain grey instead of the greenish-grey tint.

Nice work Gribb.

Thank You, Helen.

Right decision. You're right, uniform issues permanently trigger heated discussions.
In the end, the result counts and that looks good.

Gribb,
Three additional London Scots have been commissioned by me.
Cheers,
Helen
